Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 47

Day hesitated, he was confused on Itt's reaction and also if he should mention yesterday's incident. 

"Day.." Itt called seeing no response from Day who is usually very poised.

Day shook his head "Nothing.. You need anything?"

"Did you hear what I said?" Itt asked feeling annoyed.

"Yeah .. you .. you.." Day was trying to phrase what should he say.

"Can we leave now?" Itt pouted.

"Let's wait till doctors come for checkup in the morning. It's still dark outside" Day responded.

Itt looked at his hand which was still red "Did the doctor do anything. It still hurts"

Day recalled no one nursed his hand and Day forgot to mention as well "Ah.. I think they applied something."

"Is it?" Itt frowned. 

Day went to sit on sofa again and asked Itt to rest. He was still lost in his thoughts.

"Day... By the way why ? ... I don't recall coming here." Itt said in low voice.

"What do you last remember?" Day asked curiously.

"Hmm .. I think we were planning to go out" Itt tried to recall.

"So you don't .." Day was about to say but then paused "Nothing"

Itt looked at day in confused manner "Did something happen?"

"No .. I am little tired. I will take a small nap. You also rest." Day tried to avoid answering Itt which was unlike him making Itt confounded but he didn't bother Day. Itt laid back closing eyes and eventually drifted to sleep. Day looked at Itt after few minutes and after finding him asleep , he felt relaxed.

Day was in a quandary and didn't realise how time passed when Gear and Night entered the room. Day immediately checked Itt who was still sleeping and gestured Gear and Night to come out of the room.

He told them that Itt does not have any memory of the incident. 

"What? Did he hit his head too?" Gear blurted when Night elbowed him with a frown.

"We can check with the doctor but don't talk anything about last night with him." Day spoke thoughtfully which both Night and Gear agreed.

They went inside and saw Itt wide awake looking around and as he saw Day entering "I thought you left."

"I was just outside the room" Day responded in low voice.

"What about us?" Gear teased "Are you not seeing us enter."

"Shut up. You didn't stay here last night." Itt countered.

"How are you feeling P'Itt" Night tried to change the conversation.

"I .. I am ok.. I guess but they did not treat the burn." Itt looked at his hand again.

Night looked at Day not sure of what to say. Day was also silent when Gear took the control "They treated your head. Idiot ! you passed out yesterday so you were hospitalised"

"Passed out..." Itt murmured "Why can't I recall anything?"

"Who remembers after being passed out?" Gear smirked.

Itt looked at Gear in annoyance but nodded in agreement.

"When can I leave?" Itt asked.

"Let me check with the doctor. You both stay here. I will go out and speak to the doctor" Day said and left the room.
