Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 45

It was pitch dark. Itt was running too fast and the only sound was him panting. Someone grabbed his shirt pulling him back.

Itt turned around scared and he saw the face of man who was laughing hysterically.

"Huh"

Itt woke up frightened. As he tried to get up, he realized Day's arm around him as his back was touching Day's chest. He turned slightly to see Day's face and saw he was still sleeping. He then turned completely facing him. He realised both Day and him were only wearing track pants and no shirt. He smiled slightly feeling shy as he recalled last night when Day made love to him.

As he was moving more closer to Day snuggling in his chest to feel warmth to forget his nightmare, Day opened his eyes and saw Itt awake. He looked up to check time on clock and then rubbed Itt's back and said "Sleep. It's still night" and closed his eyes as he continued to rub Itt's back.

Itt also drifted back to sleep in no time.

Next morning Day encouraged Itt to go back to work so that his mind is consumed in work and does not get distracted by incident. 

Also after giving some thought Itt decided to cancel the deal Pete. After all his mental peace was more important than any business deal.

Itt called Pete that he has decided not to go ahead with the deal. Pete tried to persuade by agreeing to all his demands and even reducing price. Itt still rejected the offer and Pete stressed on knowing the reason behind it but Itt just told he had some personal reason and did not entertain the talk further. However he  wished him well in future as he was not expecting to see him again.

Pete was interested to talk further to Itt but Day cut the conversation. Day was throughout with Itt during the whole conversation and at the end took the phone and told he will send his boy to collect the car and disconnected the phone. 

Day and Itt both started going to their respective work. 

"What time you will get free" Day asked as he dropped Itt at his office.

"May be 6 pm or I will call you and let you know" Itt said as he got down from the car. A guard came to escort Itt inside office. Itt did not like but on Day's insistence Itt agreed that a guard will be with Itt all the time while he is in office.

Day spoke to Sage and he also told there is something suspicious about the driver as his records were missing. On Day's request , Sage said he will continue to investigate his recent activities. Day started picking and drop Itt himself. He also took help from Kamol and added one guard at Itt's office whom he can trust.  Day was also cautious enough to not use car which his boy got from Pete instead he gave to Nan and asked him to inspect it thoroughly.

Day also took Nan and Mac in confidence and told the scenario. Though he is jealous of Mac but Day knows Itt trusts Mac a lot and he frequently visits Itt. Gear was already aware and he did not wait for Day's ask but he himself proactively keeps calling and visiting Itt when he was available.

Itt's father extended the trip so Itt continued to stay in Day's house. 

Itt has now started opening to Day. He has started feeling more comfortable with him. Day himself has become calmer after such obsessive phase of his life. He is now at peace but still prioritises Itt even more than Night.

It's been a month since Itt's encounter with the driver. There has been nothing unusual except with car, Nan found a tracking device installed on it. Day was already expecting it  as he thought Pete will not leave Itt so easily.  The issue here was not Pete per Day whom he can handle easily but he wanted to know the involvement of the driver and their relationship. Day left the device on car but uses the  car only to deceive and when Itt is not with him as he does not want to put Itt under any danger.

 Itt does see nightmare every other night but he feels secure as soon as Day embraces him "Shhh.. it's ok .. you are safe... you are fine." Day wanted Itt to go to therapist but Itt is being rigid this time and he no longer wants to visit hospital for anything.

One evening after they returned from work. "What are you cooking?" Itt came out after taking shower and went to the kitchen where Day was preparing dinner. He sat on the kitchen slab with towel still hanging around his neck and he was wearing track pants and lose t-shirt. Day was deveining shrimp and did not look at Itt yet when he asked "Can I help"

"Just stir the soup " Day said when he saw Itt's tshirt falling from one shoulder showing his smooth skin which had turned red from warm shower. His hair was wet and water droplets still on the back of his neck were attracting Day.

Itt got down and stirred using ladle and screamed "Ah.." as the ladle fell down.

Day immediately went closer and saw Itt was holding his left hand  with right and his face seemed like he was about to cry as the soup container had tilted with soup falling on floor.

Day held Itt's hand and dragged him towards sink and placed his hand under running water "Keep the hand here". Then he went to switch off the stove and properly placed soup container. He put a wipe cloth over the fallen soup and went back to Itt  and said in anger "Can't you be careful."

"I just held the container with my hand while stirring" It spoke in low voice realising his mistake. Day shook his head as he dabbed Itt's hand dry and applied the ointment.

"Are you hurt anywhere else? Did soup fell on your foot?" Day asked scanning Itt from up to down.

"Nah.. no I jumped back only my hand got stuck on utensil" Itt responded. 

"Sit there and watch television till I finish making dinner" Day said pointing to the couch with concern.

Itt pouted "Can't we eat out. Soup has also fallen down. Let's just go to  Chinese restaurant across street"

Day was thinking about safety when Itt added "It's been a month I am just going to office and coming home"

Day smiled at the reference of home and agreed "Ok let's go out. But first go and change your t-shirt"

"We are just going near by. What's wrong with this" Itt pouted.

"I am not going out till you change" Day was adamant. Itt looked at his injured hand and then at Day making a puppy face when Day had to shook his head and say "Ok do not make such face". 

He went to his room and got wallet and jacket and came back to Itt "Wear this" as he held the jacket to make Itt wear. Itt was still pouting and was about to say no when Day said in deep voice "No more negotiation" and Itt had to comply.

They both went to the restaurant. It was a road side sitting. Day told Itt that they can go to mall but Itt insisted as he liked the food here. Also cool breeze was blowing making it pleasant to sit outside. 

Day did not leave Itt for a moment and even for ordering food he took Itt along with him instead of letting him sit for blocking seats. Once the food was served they both had as Itt was sharing an incident at his office. Itt has started being like old self who loves to talk while Day just listens lovingly to his chatterbox. 

".. So when he asked for more price cut , which he asks every time...even though he is doing business with us since ages. Dad is also fed up with him as he asks for discount every time.... So now I usually bumps up the price before telling him .. But this time  when he came ...." Itt was talking animatedly with hands gestures when someone crossed Itt and spilled the hot tea on Itt's burnt hand and the guy was quick to say "Sorry .. Sorry.. "

"Ow!" Itt exclaimed in pain as his hand was scalded now.

Day did not wait and rushed to the restaurant owner to get ice seeing Itt's hand was badly burnt this time.

Day came back with ice and to his shock did not found Itt making him panic "Itt .. Itt .."
