Day Itt GENESIS

Chapter 46

"Itt... Itt" Day shouted his name and ran around the shop panicking.

He threw the ice in his hand and started asking people sitting next to them. It seemed no one noticed as they were all busy among themselves but one waiter came up to Day and pointed in the direction where Itt went.

"The guy who dropped tea, your friend went with him" The waiter told.

Day frowned and asked "That way?" and waiter nodded. Without waisting any time Day ran in that direction.

Day kept calling Itt and the people on street were staring at him but that didn't affect him. Day knew Itt wouldn't have gone far and somehow the waiter's words seemed trustworthy so he felt he is going in the right direction.

Day noticed many people crossing the road. It was busy street and traffic had come to halt  for people to cross. It was difficult to find Itt but Day glanced each and every person quickly as he was approaching the four-way intersection. He somehow had the feeling Itt is in the crowd but he had to catchup before  the vehicles start moving.

He noticed a guy with same height as Itt but there was long black coat placed on his shoulder with hoodie which was not what Itt was wearing. There was an arm of another man around his waist and he seemed to be kissing the guy.The view was not clear as it was jam packed. His gaze fell on the hand which was stiff , fisted and  little away from body to avoid any contact . The hand was red and not moving while walking. Day ran breathlessly towards the person without losing the sight of the hand and held his arm tightly as the traffic signal got green and vehicles started moving. There was little resistance as the man with his arm around pulled the body towards him but Day's hold was stronger making the guy turn. 

"Itt.." Day exclaimed seeing the face and pulled him hard towards himself making the other guy leave the grip. 

The traffic started moving and the guy ran. Day was unable to see the guy's face as he embraced Itt  and moved back to the side of the road. Day was disappointed that he could not catch the man but he was worried about Itt more.

Itt's face was pale as if he was not breathing. He did not react to Day's hold. Day took him to a corner which was less crowded and made him lean against a wall as he could not find anyplace to sit. Day saw a bite mark on Itt's lip making his fingers curl into a tight fist in anger.  He then threw the coat on him on the ground and tapped Itt's cheek lightly with one hand "Itt .. please breathe... Itt breathe" 

Day shook him hard making Itt come to senses. As he saw Day, he gasped and in no time tears started dropping from his eyes and he placed his head over Day's shoulder.

Day let him cry and rubbed his back while muttering softly "Itt calm down . You are safe now." 

Itt was not in position to walk. The car was parked little far and Day did not want to even leave him for a moment. He was still regretting leaving him earlier to get ice. 

"Itt let's walk till that shop" Day said thinking to atleast  get water for him to calm him down.

"Hia..." came a voice and Night went near "P'Itt .. How are you?" Itt was still leaning on Day and did not react to the voice.

"Itt what are you guys doing ? Get a room " Gear spoke in teasing tone as  Day's arm was wrapped around Itt.

Day stared at them with anger and showed his palm gesturing not to speak further. Both Gear and Night were confused.

Gear was about to ask further "What's .." when Day immediately interrupted "Did you came by car?"

"Yes it's parked few blocks away" Gear said.

Day's car was parked further away so he asked "Gear get your car here immediately. Night buy some water from that shop"

Both nodded and did not question Day further understanding the situation.

Day made Itt drink water. He just had a sip and brushed the bottle away. He still looked out of focus. Gear was quick to get the car and Day helped Itt to sit.

Itt sat in the back seat with Day next to him. Night sat in front in passenger seat and turned to look at Itt. Gear was also watching Itt from rear mirror "What happened?"

Day did not respond to Gear but asked Itt "Are you hurt anywhere?" His tone was soft. He saw Itt leaning against the window and closing eyes. Day was scanning Itt's body to ensure he is fine. Except the hand which was scalded , he did not notice anything. He asked Night to soak an handkerchief with water and hand him over.

"I am feeling sleepy" Itt said in a drowsy state.  Day placed handkerchief on his hand.

Gear asked if he should drive to hospital though everyone was expecting that Itt will not agree.

Day  did not want Itt to feel uncomfortable so he hesitantly said "Home"

"Hospital" Itt's voice was shaky.

It made Gear almost apply break and everyone turned to look at Itt alarmed .

"Itt what happened? Did he do something?" Day freaked out "Gear quick drive to hospital"

"Day..."Itt blinked slowly.

"Yes Itt stay awake. Tell me what happened" Day asked.

"Ah he injected ... some..." Itt's head hit the window as he passed out without completing the sentence.

"P' Itt.." Night called few times but Itt did not move.

Day held Itt and moved him to lay him down on his lap. He was blaming himself for not able to protect Itt. 

They reached hospital and Itt was taken to the emergency ward. Day updated the doctor that probably he is drugged.

Day , Night and Gear waited outside as tests were performed on Itt. Day eventually told them what happened as Gear and Night both stressed again.

"Can it be that driver?" Gear asked in low voice.

"I am also suspecting but  I did not see the face. Itt can only tell." Day said feeling frustrated.

"If it's driver. It will be easy to put him behind the bars as now he again try to harass" Gear said thoughtfully which Day agreed.

After a while doctor came out and told Itt was given a sedative "He is fine now. We have given antidote but we would be monitoring him overnight." Gear was quick to ask if they can meet Itt but doctor told he is still not awake and might take few hours.

Day told Gear and Night to go home and he will stay with Itt. Gear was not willing to leave but Night finally made him agree as only one person can stay in the room and they can be back in the morning.

"uhhh.." Itt groaned and squinted. Day was laying on sofa next to him and have dozed off as it was almost morning.

"Day... Day..."

Day woke up startled "Itt are you ok?"

"Day .. where are we?" Itt asked in casual tone.

"We.." Day was about to say when Itt interrupted and yelled "Is it hospital? Why are we here?"

""You were.." Day was again cut off by Itt "I'm thirsty" 

Day pour him glass of water which he gulped in one go.

"Day let's leave. You know I don't like hospital. Did you get me here just because I got scalded at home..Day let's leave now" Itt spoke quickly.

"You don't recall" Day asked perplexed.

"What?" Itt asked casually.
