Chapter 8 - Meeting again

Itt has occupied himself in work around the clock. He has been discussing with his father to open two more branches to expand the business. 

Mac has also started assisting his father but he is doing at his pace while keeping the balance between work and enjoyment. He works during day while parties in night. Since the pub incident in States , Mac never calls Itt when he is partying in a club as he is aware Itt does not like it. He and Itt usually meet to have lunch together as their offices are close by.

Nick and Gear have called Itt few times to meet but he declined saying he is busy with work. Also their calls are now short not because they do not have much to talk but Itt is no longer a chatterbox he used to be. Gear and Nick tries to initiate conversations but Itt usually gives short and crisp responses. 

The only person Itt is comfortable is Mac or rather Mac is the only person who understands current version of Itt while others expect old Itt.

One Friday afternoon , Mac called Itt out for lunch in a mall. Itt declined as he was busy with work. This has been happening since last couple of days and Mac was aware Itt has been skipping lunch as  he gets too engrossed with work.  Eventually Mac went to Itt's office and had to drag him out of office and took him to restaurant. 

It was already evening as Itt kept delaying so Mac took him to a riverside restaurant which has newly opened and had a music event in the night. He wanted Itt to have some fun.

Mac asked for a corner seat with less noise much to Itt's preference. As soon as they sat,  Itt took out his  laptop and started working. Mac shook his head and ordered food for Itt and himself. This was the case most of the days when they have lunch together.

Neil , Nick , Gear and Four  were sitting few tables away.  The restaurant owner was Neil's friend so Nick asked Gear and Four to join as well for Friday event. Night and Gus had exam coming up so they decided to skip and were studying together at home. Day joined them after a while on Neil's insistence . They were drinking beer and having some snacks. None of them noticed Itt as his back was facing them.

Waiter came with food and placed at Mac's table. Mac served for Itt and himself. 

"Itt can you eat first" Mac said in annoyed tone.

"Just two mins" Itt said without looking at Mac. He was just typing and looking at screen.

Neil came from restroom and sat back with the group and asked Nick while pointing towards Itt's table " Isn't that your friend who came to Night's birthday party"

Nick and Gear turned to look but they could only see his back. " Yes is it Brick?" Four said. Day also looked curiously.

"He is with whom?" Nick asked as they all could see Mac. 

Nick got up to go and meet Itt when Mac stood up aggressively from his seat and went towards Itt's side. He snatched his laptop and closed and put it in his bag. Gear pulled back Nick to sit "Let's meet after sometime"

Mac's patience has ended as it was already 15 minutes since the food was served and Itt did not even raised his head . He pushed Itt's plate in front of him and rebuked him " Eat first." and picked a napkin to wipe sweat from Itt's forehead and asked "Have you taken your pills?"

Itt did not respond to Mac's question instead  said "I was almost done . Why you have to close the laptop?" in irritating way.

Mac went back to his seat and stared at Itt and picked beer to drink. Itt saw Mac was angry and softened his tone "Ok I will just send this email and eat" 

It was nothing new for Mac , he just nodded nonchalantly and started drinking while waiting for Itt. 

Everyone at Gear's table observed them curiously except Neil  who was talking to his friend who was the owner of restaurant. Neil had to call them twice to introduce his friend as they were busy watching Itt.
