[Day 15]
Third person's pov
" WHAT'S UP DOLLARS!! " Heng shouted as he entered Freen's house.
" heyy shut your fucking mouth, heng—oh hi, bec, up to something? " nam asked as she saw becky walking towards the door to go out.
" yeah, ofc, school. " becky answered.
" uh, okay, take careee! " nam replied and becky leave fastly.
They are confused by the sudden change of Becky's attitude but maybe because of what happened that's why, they turned their eyes back to the house after checking becky out and they saw freen going down the stairs. They ran towards her and engulfed her a tight hug.
" MANNNN, I MISS YOUUUU! " -noey
" HOW COME YOU DIDN'T COME TO SCHOOL SOME OF THE DAYSSSS??? " - Irin
" WE MISS YOUR PRESENCE MY GUY " -heng
" let me grab you guys some coffee. " Freen said coldly and went to the kitchen leaving them
The air hung thick with the scent of coffee and unspoken concern as Freen sat surrounded by her closest friends: Noey, Irin, Heng, and Nam. They were gathered in her apartment, always a haven of shared laughter and secrets, but today, the atmosphere was heavy with a different kind of energy, one tinged with worry and a touch of despair.
Freen had invited them, needing their support, their wisdom, their honest opinions. She had been pouring her heart out to them, detailing her relentless pursuit of Becky, the endless stream of gestures, the heartfelt apologies, the desperate attempts to win back her love. She had tried everything, from grand romantic gestures to small, everyday acts of kindness, but it felt like she was banging her head against a brick wall.
"I even take her to many places and give her everything I know she loves," Freen said, her voice laced with a hint of desperation. " the museum, the musics, the scavenger hunt, the picnics. I even take her to my hometown... " freen said sniffing as she felt her tears again.
Noey, ever the pragmatist, sighed. "Freen, you've gone above and beyond. You've spent a fortune, you've put in so much effort, and you've poured your heart out. What more do you want to do?"
Irin, with her usual wisdom and empathy, added, "You've shown her how much you care. You've given her every opportunity to come back to you. But sometimes, love isn't enough. Sometimes, you have to accept that it's over."
"I know, I know," Freen said, her voice cracking slightly. "But I just can't let go. I still believe in us. I still believe that one day, she'll realize what she's missing."
Heng, ever the voice of reason, nodded in agreement. "You've been chasing after her, trying to win her back, but you've forgotten about yourself in the process. You've been putting your own happiness on hold, waiting for her to come back. You deserve to be happy, Freen. You deserve to be loved for who you are, not for who you could be to Becky."
Nam, the quiet observer, spoke softly. "You're a beautiful, strong, independent woman. You have a whole world of possibilities out there. Don't let one person, even someone you love dearly, hold you back from that."
