[new year? new life for each please]

Third person's pov

Becky is energetically mixing batter for gingerbread cookies, flour dusting her apron. Bright sketches in a large notebook, occasionally glancing at Becky with a fond smile.

" Almost enough batter for a gingerbread village!  Think we can manage a miniature replica of the Empire State Building, Bright? " Becky asked as she turned around. Bright didn't looked up but he answered, " Ambitious, but I'm more inclined towards a deconstructed gingerbread Guggenheim.  Think you can handle the impossible angles? "

" Challenge accepted!  Though, maybe we should stick to something a little less… avant-garde for the actual houses. " Becky smiled with her words.

Becky pours the batter onto cookie sheets. Bright carefully adds details to his sketch, a whimsical cityscape of gingerbread buildings.

" Speaking of avant-garde, did you see that article on the new architectural designs for the city center?  Absolutely mind-blowing. " He asked.

" I'll take your word for it.  My brain is currently dedicated to achieving perfectly symmetrical gingerbread men. " She responded.

They continue their morning preparations, their easy banter filling the apartment.  The aroma of baking gingerbread fills the air.

As for Freen...

Well, Freen sits at her sleek, minimalist desk, working on some errands and plans.  Her apartment is impeccably clean and organized.  Sunlight streams through a large window. She pauses her work, stretches, and takes a sip of black coffee. She glances at a calendar on her desk, a single red circle marking New Year's Eve.

" Time to finalize those presentations… then maybe some quiet reflection.  This year has been… transformative. " She said to herself. She returns to her work, her focus intense and unwavering.  The quiet hum of her laptop is the only sound in the room.  She works efficiently, making quick progress on her designs.

Becky and Bright are decorating their Christmas tree, a chaotic but joyful process.  Fairy lights twinkle, ornaments dangle precariously.

" This star is definitely wonky.  It’s leaning towards… existential dread, I think. " Becky referring to the star on top.  Bright chuckled, " Perhaps it's reflecting the inherent instability of the universe.  Or maybe it just needs a stronger hook. "

They carefully adjust the star.  Becky carefully places a handmade ornament, a tiny clay representation of Bright's marzipan Eiffel Tower, onto a branch.

" I think this one is my masterpiece.  What do you think? "

"  It’s… surprisingly accurate.  Even captures the slight lean of the original. " Bright joked.

They share a laugh, their affection evident in their shared smiles.  They continue decorating, their playful banter a constant soundtrack to their afternoon.

While Freen..

Freen is dressed elegantly in a simple, sophisticated outfit.  She’s sipping champagne, looking out at the rain-slicked city.
