Bumangon ako then I checked my wristwatch.
I sighed.
Inilapag niya yung basket in between the names of my parents. "Sabi mo nakalimutan mo bumili ng flowers for them, tsaka I bought some food for you, I don't think you have enough, for sure di ka lalabas."
Hindi ako makapagsalita... I appreciate this so much. I nod.
"Thank you." Sabi niya. Kung tutuusin we are both broken by the loss of our loved ones. "Uhm... thank you. Yun lang kaya kong sabihin for now... you're supposed to be at your mother's grave... pero nandito ka."
"It's crowded there. Our relatives who failed to..." but he wasn't able to see her... "attend the funeral were there, besides, I always visit her... every time." he smiled. "So I'm just giving them this holiday. I can always take my time. At least I get to stay in a quiet place." Napatingin kami sa labas. Madami-dami na yung tao compared kaninang lunch time.
"It's fine." Nilapag niya yung mga pagkain sa table.
"Kumusta ka?" he asked after sitting on the other side.
"Much better." he nodded. Now it's awkward.
Tumango naman ako, I plan to stay here until tomorrow.
"How 'bout you?"
"Wala akong choice. It's part of our family tradition, to stay here pag undas. Dad's ancestors are in Spain so... yeah."
"Mukhang malaki pamilya niyo ahh." he nodded.
Tita Clarissa is mom's best friend, it must be painful for her too." I remember that their mothers set up their names. "Would you like to visit my mom too?"
I looked at him. I still remember how he looked like when I rescued him, puno sya ng bubog sa mukha. There was no trace of that now.
Pa... si Craeyan... he's from the Ahrillis University, we're on the same club too... we worked on a song and it was nice." I smiled introducing them a friend.
"Nice to meet you po." Sabi naman ni Craeyan at nag-bow as a sign of respect.
