“Hey Missy, c’mon. We can have some fun together… If ya know what I mean~”
The stinky breath was in her nose, the alcohol almost tickling it. She tried so hard to not to grimace and throw up right then and there. Then again, wouldn’t anyone? Honestly she just wanted to cover her nose and mouth with one of her hands. This was unbearable and the guy just didn’t go away despite her doing all the talking and just begging him to leave.
“Uhm… I’m sorry but… I don’t think that–” She said ever so forcefully, as forced as her smile. She really didn’t want to use her words here but he had not gotten physical just yet. Yeah, just yet…
Though unfortunately it was not just the guy Anja had to deal with, no. Also the gaze of several onlookers who were whispering amongst themselves, though then turning a blind eye to the scene at hand and moving along. Honestly though she didn’t really expect any type of help to begin with and would prefer it that way. Not the first time she had gotten herself into trouble for that when walking around at night… All because she was alright with her skin that night. But it’s the price to pay. Not like she could ever count on any—
Suddenly she felt herself being almost shoved too close to comfort. That old, drunk geezer wearing his business suit was suddenly grabbing her and staring her straight in the eyes. No wait, this— What was he going to do out in public!? “Hehe, no need to be shy~ You’ve got untapped potential, riiight?” Wait, where are his hands going!? That guy…
“Wh… What is that supposed to—”
“I know a place, Heh, let’s head somewhere a—”
“I’m sorry but I think this young lady has denied your advances several times, hasn’t she?” Someone would interrupt the flow of the conversation, her suddenly feeling grasped and being shoved aside, right next to a figure slightly taller than her. Not just that but she would see a hand on her shoulder, as if trying to keep her closer for the time being. The smell of alcohol was not unbearably close anymore as a result and she felt herself becoming at least a little calmer. It felt… Familiar. And that was enough to put her at ease… Or at least speechless for the moment. Though she wouldn’t even need to ask who this was, given what she overheard seconds later.
“Wait, isn’t that… Akechi–Kun!?”
“Woha, he came to her aid! She should be grateful!”
“Wait… Isn’t that the girl who’s always staying close to him? I wish I was her!”
“Are you sure? Maybe he’s just helping her out.”
Needless to say, at least for a short moment Anja felt some sort of annoyance overcoming her… No, you would not want to be her right now. Really, seriously… This is just turning into a spectacle now, isn’t it?
“The hell do you want, pretty boy!?” The old man shouted all of a sudden. “Can’t you see I’m busy!?”
“Please, go on then. I’m curious.” Akechi had not even hesitated to say it yet it was so awfully calm… Almost eerily sounding. “Just what were you up to Sir? If it was a misunderstanding I will kindly back off. I promise.”
“Th… That…” It was not a threat yet it had almost sounded like one. Even the guy felt the pressure put on him, all the eyes on him. But that was probably not the worst for him, no. That smile on the young man’s face was probably putting him more on the spot than anything else. One could see his legs shaking. And it was not as if he heard any other words at that moment. It was just that, the silent gaze pushed right onto him.
