Their eyelids felt heavy upon opening them. Their head felt as if they had bumped into something, making them rub it for a short moment. It felt so heavy, as if their head was a massive brick. It hurt. It hurt so, so badly. Terribly even. Though this pain soon faded and once it did they— Huh!? This place...
It was hard to describe. Was that even a place? It was all just so inconsistent, so weird. The colors changed, the walls had a different shape whenever turning... No, they just flatout disappeared sometimes. The floor was see–through, soft yet also nonexistent at the same time. Or soon a little wobbly. It was tough to stand on it but at the same time easy to float around on it. It was hard to explain. Actually, even fi they tried to explain, it would just not make sense. No one would believe them. It was an odd feeling hard to put into words yet they were really trying here.
As for objects... It was all a mess. There were all sorts of things. Imagine anything you can at the same place at the same time, disappearing yet also reappearing at random, whenever it wants to do so. There was no consistency in this place. It may as well be alive on its own, doing whatever it wants. Was this a living being? They... Didn't get it. They really didn't. But that place felt a little... Familiar. As if they had been there before. Familiar but also distant. It was weird. And trying to understand made their head hurt, as if creating a barrier and preventing them to go any further than that thought. But why? No, really... But why? That—
"Oh, there you are. Looks like you keep wandering around wherever you want~" A voice suddenly interrupted. It sounded distorted, also inconsistent. One moment it was deep and dark, the next it was all upbeat and high pitched. It was never one voice, one tone. It changed on a whim. It was not one voice but several, yet it only shared one source. Hearing it made their head hurt, more than it should. Another thing they shouldn't think about? But—
Yet before they could even take another step they felt themself being grabbed, right behind on their collar. And a laugh echoing in their head. "Haha, don't go wandering around now~ You won't be surviving that my dear~"
"Wh... What are you talking about?" They stuttered, not sure what to think or even say. What were they being thrown into now? And yet they listened, their body standing there, all frozen.
"Oh? You don't know? Well, of course you don't. You don't remember anything after all~" The voice said before they had been forcefully turned around... Only freezing with what they saw in front of them. It was some figure, formally dressed with a top hat. The shape may be somewhat human–like yet it was all cold, the touch leaving anyone freezing. It was as if no blood was coming through those veins. Was there even a heartbeat? They couldn't say yet this being in front of them felt... Inhuman. This thing didn't even have a face, only a mask contrasting the dark colors. A white one with red eyes and a smile so wide it made one feel uncomfortable when looking at it. And yet, they weren't even sure if it was a mask. After all, the eyes and mouth were moving once it started to speak. Who was that? No, wait, what was that? This was just...
"But that's fine. You don't need to understand. Not this realm at least." The figure kept speaking, letting out a laugh with an amused smile on its mask. "But where are my manners? Welcome, welcome dear. Please, make yourself at home. Can I fetch you something? Some coffee perhaps~?" And as it had been saying that, a small coffee table suddenly popped up with two cups of tea. And then a coffee pot appeared, floating up and down. It looked... Empty. Yeah, empty. "How do you like your coffee?"
"Eh!? Erm... With... Milk." They responded, looking to the side for a moment, secretly wondering... What was this about here? They didn't understand, at all... Literally. Even less with what they were witnessing.
"Coming right up~" The figure said before letting the coffee pot float to one of the cups and... Before knowing it something was poured out from it!? And it was coffee... Actually coffee... With milk!? And to make it worse they heard a sound coming as it was all poured into the cup, as if someone had been throwing up. They weren't sure what to think, let alone what to say. All they did was look at it in disbelief yet it didn't faze the other one in any way. Instead it was pouring itself a cup, unfazed by the barfing sound echoing into the ears, before picking it up and... Sitting down!? Right in the air!? "Huh? What are you still standing there? How rude, sit down~"
