"Welcome. Come on out, you petty thieves! You're after the Treasure, are you not? Come down and I will tell you where it is."
When the Shadow had suddenly cut the conversation short they were not sure how to react essentially. It was... Something, that was all they could say. Yet when hearing the term 'petty thieves' it had told them all it would need to. They were a little confused, to say the least. Yet they could only imagine what that meant. And the timing was... Something else. Was that the point? Was that why Pipistrello had urged them to go? They had expressed the desire to get to the thieves directly but... This soon!? And also under the disguise of paying a Palace a visit!? That—
They had to shake it off however, needing to be paying attention to the conversation. It was then when they heard an unfamiliar voice responding: "Wh—What!? We're not going to fall for a trick like that..."
The Shadow Sae chuckled, perhaps having expected such a reaction. "It's not a lie. I only wish to do this fair and square." Huh? Wait, she what— "You aren't going to run, are you...?"
Something about those words irked them. As if it was going to be that easy. They could hardly believe it and it made them roll their eyes. All while the struggling could still be heard on Ole's end. The guy who had grabbed him was literally in peril, wasn't he? Trying to calm the cat down forcefully yet it didn't work. "H... Hey! Now's not the time Sir! Would you—"
"You youngsters have no respect these days! Let go!" The cat hissed in response however, leading them to only imagining how this looked like right now. They had given up at this point, remaining still as their arms had been trapped in a tight grip by one of these... 'Security guards'? Well, more or less. These were still shadows. Yet they were just standing there as both of their arms had been in a tight grip, almost hurting. Yet nothing more than that, oddly enough. They had expected to die yet—
"We should do as she says." They heard a familiar voice speak, making them ignore Ole who was currently just struggling to get out of the grasp of the guy. Instead they were a little startled by that voice, almost feeling themself growing pale at that moment... That... Was... Wait here!? But— "There is no point in hiding any longer."
And then it only took moments, a few short moments before they saw the group... The Phantom Thieves. But... They were not alone, not exactly. There was one more among them all and this one stuck out like a sore thumb. The mask seemed to have some massive beak on it, colored red. The uniform resembled something rather... Princely? Yeah, something one would see a prince in some story wear. White for the most part yet it had red accents, even a red cape. A noble's attire yet also looking like some guard of honor. And they knew exactly who that was... Leaving them even more in shock.
Their eyes went wide and they could feel that their gazes met pretty much right away. The two were staring at another as the conversation continued yet not in a pleasant manner. No, both were in utter shock, disbelief. Not just that but their body went stiff as they saw him. He looked different compared to the first time. Had they been mistaken? No way, that couldn't have been it. It was probably a different attire for that cover up story or something. Or so their guess. And besides, it's not as if he didn't take a guess either. The gaze was sharp, almost a little hostile. No, it was. He wasn't pleased to spot them. And they were just terrified seeing him here. ' It's so over! ' The last thing they wanted him to know... But here they were, face to face at the most inconvenient time.
Though no one seemed to have noticed. It was an exchange between the two, an exchange needing no words. It all spoke for itself. Yet something told them that this had not been the end of it. No, this was only the beginning. But the time to talk about it was not now. They had to wait... Then again, they didn't exactly expect to see the Phantom Thieves here. And especially not Akechi. This was only getting worse by the minute. But other business came first...
