There had been something off about them recently. Goro couldn't help but note that. It already had ticked him off when they suddenly asked him about her, Miyuki Ishikawa. And they seemed oddly interested, more than ever before. This was weird, as if they were trying to hide something. Of course they could only hide it for so long. It would only be a matter of time until anyone would catch on that there was something going on. He knew them by now, this being unavoidable when working together... And them sticking to him like glue sometimes. One of the things he quickly learnt was that they were rather awful at keeping things a secret. Sure, they will not say what is up exactly but they were up to something. And that was a thought he didn't really like. He didn't know why. He just didn't.

Maybe it was because Miyuki had asked him prior about Luka, though she didn't seem to have caught onto something at the very least... Luka was also 'that politician's daughter'. So there was that at least. Sure, Goro maybe should have spilled the beans right then and there but he didn't. Even when she asked him to tell everything there was to Luka... Goro didn't do it. There was that fact he left out. So technically he wasn't lying, he was just withholding information. Then again, who also said that she didn't know? Like many others she may live in the belief that these were two different people she was looking at but maybe she was also not saying anything about it.

Unfortunately she was an excellent actress, being so hard to read and even fooling the public eye. Though he really shouldn't be the one calling her out on that, should he? The two were playing the same game towards other people. They were putting on a show, to appear favorable to the public, to others. What their true intentions were was all hidden, not something they were giving away so easily. And he hated it. He hated that this was something the two just had to have in common. Being compared to her like this... Yet unfortunately it was also true. Yet that also meant that he knew what she was capable of. He knew how dangerous this woman could be, even if she appeared not to be on the mere surface.

It would not be unlike them to catch on either. They had a sixth sense for it, he had to admit that much. Yet Miyuki was not someone to show mercy. Once she will catch on to who she is dealing with she will just end up having another target. And... Maybe that was something he didn't want to happen. Not to them anyways. Not because he cared or anything like that! At least he wouldn't put it that way. He just... Didn't want them to become useless to him. Yeah, that's all... Goro just wanted to make sure that they had their uses if he ever needed them. This was not him caring about them. This was him making sure that he had all his options ready. So... He had to confront them. And in the next meeting the two had he was making sure to address this...

And he did. Right at the same table at a café they were sitting at. He didn't even hesitate asking 'her'. "Anja, may I have a word with you?"

'She' turned her head to him, up from the papers she not so willingly read through, taking one note after the other. Maybe she was just relieved that she didn't have to look at a bunch of words which didn't seem to interest her all that much. Though she also seemed curious. "What's up? Is it another scolding for messing up the last report in some way?"

He shook his head. "No, nothing like that this time."

"Then next time I guess?"

"Can I finish?" This person was sometimes pushing Goro to his limits. Always acting so carefree, even now... Was she even taking this seriously!? "It's about Ishikawa–San."

He noticed that the paper in her hand crumbled a little on the side, her grip tightening. So she did have something to hide. Of course she did. "I... Ishikawa–San? Wh.... What about her? I don't know what you could possibly mean." She forced that smile on her lips and that laugh out of her mouth. Terrible, just terrible.
