Slowly but surely they started opening their eyes, most likely having overcome the shock they had experienced earlier. Though the memory was fuzzy at that moment when slowly lifting themself off the ground. Or rather they were sitting straight up, feeling their head shaking, as if an earthquake had been planted right into it. It hurt terribly. They could just barely keep themself awake. But they had to, no matter what! Especially when taking a closer look at their surroundings, though it had been blurry at first, very blurry in fact. It was all rather dark, though it was shimmering in one color all the same. And the one they saw right now was some type of red... And there was no in between – Black or shades of red. Even the sky was looking weird.
For a moment they believed that they were in a nightmare or hoped that it was the effect of the headache. That once it calmed down that everything would look normal again, in place. That the colors would calm down and the distorted look would disappear. But no, none of that. Even when they felt their head recovering slowly there was none of that sort going on. Instead they finally took note of how deserted everything looked. They got up, right onto their feet, but nothing. Not a single soul wandering around. It was almost apocalyptic. Even when they took a closer look at the streets there was nothing. Not even when they had wandered around and soon came to the station square... Nothing at all. The place which would usually be crowded at this time. It was empty, as if everyone had been eaten up by something or someone. It was hard to say. The feeling was a little unsettling.
They pinched and punched themself a few times. They really did, hoping it was some weird nightmare or a hallucination. But no, none of that. This? This was real apparently. The other guess was maybe some sort of fever dream but could it really have been that!? This was a terrifying sight. And yet they had nowhere else to go. Heck, they didn't even know how to get out of here, even if they tried. They didn't even know where they were to begin with. This was still Shibuya, right? It looked like it but it didn't feel like it. What is this place!?
In any case, they decided to take a pair of steps downstairs, wanting to head to the train station. Maybe things would be normal there and they could return home. So they wandered aimlessly at first, hoping that things would solve itself until one other thing shot into their mind...
Wait, no! They stopped! Ole! They had seen him wandering around! He had to be somewhere! Should they turn back and look for him? That was the only save bet. Yeah, they had to pick him up first! Wherever he is! What if he got hurt!? He barely had any experience outside as far as they were concerned! So they had to pick him up quickly! What if he got hurt or run over!? Ah, they did not want to think about the worst case scenarios but they were panicking beyond belief! Not just that but they had to get out somehow or Mom might get wo— Wait, they could just text her!
And they were about to do that but the moment they took out their phone— No signal!? They tried opening the usual message app but nothing! There was no service, no connection whatsoever! Where were they!? No, seriously! What place was this!? As if they hadn't panicked enough already! Not to mention some weird red app icon with a black eye right on it but they shoved that aside for now. They could worry about this new, weird app later!
So they stuffed their smartphone back into their pocket quickly, then wandering around a little long— Hold it, they just noticed... Had they started to walk on the rails for quite some time!? Then where were the trains!? And where were they!? They got lost again, didn't they? And now of all times... How were they going to make it back? Is this where they will rot now? Is this where they will die!? No, they just have to find someone who can give them directions or something like that. Yeah, then it will be fine! Yeah, then—
Yet just as that thought had escaped their head they heard a sudden loud growl, enough to have them jump and turn around... And the sight in front of them was just... It was hard to describe yet it was anything but human. A large shadow–like being, formed from some type of mass? Not really but it looked like it. It was hard to make out what it was supposed to be, only that it was giant and had massive arms and bulky legs. That and the eyes glowed red as well as the open mouth. Anyone would be shocked. No, that was not a strong enough word. Terrified, that was the better word here. Terrified. Especially since it came out of literal nowhere and had them trapped. They couldn't run, knowing that they would be crushed before they could escape.
They let out a gasp, looking around if they could even do something. Yet there was no route to escape nor anything to help them. They were helpless, literally, yet should they give in so easily!? Ah but what to do!? Anyone trying to block anything from such a beast has to be insane! No use, their legs will have to do! Yeah, maybe for o—
"Not so fast!" An unfamiliar, somewhat deep voice would yell out of nowhere and before knowing it they saw the Shadow being cut in half rather quickly. It was a short moment yet they saw a... Short guy? Long, black hair on the outside, white on the inside. Wide, green eyes which were glowing at that moment as well. He was wearing an overly long trench coat, right beneath it a shirt with a tie and trousers which looked a little too big for him. No, even the trenchcoat was way too big for him, not even showing his hands. And not just that but... Cat ears, a cat tail and... Whiskers? Huh...
Regardless, before they could ask anything they were grabbed by him out of nowhere. "Questions later! We need to get you out of here first!"
And before they could ask questions they were dragged away by this boy, even their protests proving useless...
