It has been days since then… Since they had faced the Shadow within Mementos and took care of her… Ann had one question in mind… Was it too late at the time? She had wondered, all because she had not seen Anja’s face around for some time. Hah… Maybe it was useless after all… Or so she would have assumed for a while if it had not been for spotting the one in question one day.
It was at the train station and she seemed to be… In company? Yeah, she was in company with someone. Another girl who talked very eagerly to her about some… Love plans? Yeah, love plans. No, a… Strategy? And that girl seemed really eager about it, brabbling on and on.
Anja’s face was one in slight agony, at least for a moment. She really was trying to just stay calm it seemed. Well, not like Ann couldn’t relate. Talk like this could be exhausting, especially if you didn’t ask for it. But in the end the brunette didn’t seem to mind. All occurring was a light chop, though it seemed to have been nothing hurtful.
“Please cut it out…” She even sighed yet one could see that slight smile on her face. Overall the attitude of hers seemed a little different than usual. She was more lively, more ready to tackle anything. The eyes were anything but empty… It was a bit more lively? Maybe she doesn’t show it but it could be that she was having fun.
Ann had debated approaching Anja but in the end she just didn’t want to ruin the moment. So she left it be and had been ready to look away. Seeing that Anja was doing well for herself now was already a relief. Though she probably was startled, whatever had happened between her and Maki. Yet if things continue to be uphill for her then this was more than worth it!
Though before turning around it seemed that Anja had taken note of her. At least enough to turn to her for a moment and wave slightly, this time putting on a more genuine smile. Ann had been caught off guard by this yet waved back for that short moment. Though that had been interrupted by the girl right next to Anja who suddenly dragged her off to who knows where. Well, at least this situation had a happy end. So the trouble was worth it in the end.
