When they had turned around they had spotted a door eventually in the other hand of the hall. It required them to squeeze through the dolls without touching them yet they managed eventually, even if it was just barely. They honestly were worried that there would be some type of alert if they touched any of those massive dolls, that they would all turn and— Ah, no! They just had that thought! There was no use for that anymore! Not any longer at least... Yeah, they should just calm themself down and get to it. Focus... Just focus already! Yeah... Focus...

So, as soon as they had reached the door they would open it slowly, taking a peek inside. At first there seemed to be not much going on outside of a few stairs seeming to lead downstairs to somewhere. The stairs themselves looked old and wooden if not a little smelly as well. They were afraid to even take a step onto them and walk down. Because what if they break down? What if they just get shredded into pieces and they would fall down, right onto whatever lied beneath? These stairs looked like anything but safe. Maybe they just had to take the risk but honestly they didn't really want to take said risk. Because if they fell into a pile of something which would inconvenience them, like killer plushies but torn to pieces or dolls, then that would be heavily inconveniencing them. They didn't want to... But whining didn't bring them further either, they had to. And when hearing Pipistrello's remark, that they had 'no problem running around Mementos despite it being risky on its own', they knew that they couldn't argue. They had to rely on that figure, whether they liked it or not.

"If I die in here, it's going to be your fault."

"Of course it would be. But don't worry, I would prefer you alive for the time being. Not dead."

That was what it had always said and even now it would repeat such a thing. 'I need you alive, not dead'. So as long as they would do its bidding they should be fine. And so, after moments of hesitation they took the stairs downwards, even if their legs shook with each step they took. Even more whenever they heard the creaking. What if they would fall through at any point? No, seriously! What i—

Yet as if they had not been careful enough they suddenly felt it, when the ground had been taken from their feet and it resulted in what they had feared. They wanted to jump to safety yet it was too late for that. Instead they fell down pretty much instantly, the scream evident. They couldn't help it by then, even if they knew that no one would come to their rescue. Not as if anyone could hear them to begin with!

That fall was quick and abrupt however. Because right after they felt a pile of something, having fallen right into it. Their arms and legs felt this something being cold and moldy, not a very pleasant smell to fall into. If they were Ole they would have probably already screamed several meows from the top of their lungs, just from how smelly this all was! A sensitive cat nose could probably not take this type of smell by any sense of the word! Although... This also made them sit in it for only so long. Because they managed to get up rather quickly, freeing themself. It was a little heavy but they managed to bail themself out eventually, then dust themself off. And as if this wasn't already enough...

"Oh, what a scream. Do it again!" Pipistrello had to comment on that, of course it did. They only rolled their eyes, probably the tenth time they did it when having to listen to it today alone. Talk about a tour guide...

"No thank you!" They responded as they wiped off the last piece of dust, yet that moldy feeling wouldn't leave their body. They will have to take a shower as soon as they return home. They stink! Even they could admit as much. And it was not sweat this time which caused that awful smell!

"Aww, what a party pooper you are my dearest. No risk, no fun."

"I'd like to live please."

"Yes yes. Survival instincts and all, isn't it?"
