Their eyes shut open from one moment to the next. They had a bit of a fuzzy memory of what happened afterwards. Not just that but it made their head hurt too. The last thing they remembered was spotting Ole right in front of the gate, staring right then and there. He had been there sooner and was at least doing fine yet had also waited for them it seemed. The relief overcoming him visibly when they had walked out of the entrance's door was something else. Yet honestly, they were just glad that he made it. He stayed alive and that's all what mattered to them at that point. They had even handed him the treasure and told him to take it home as soon as possible which had been met with a nod. Yet everything had become somewhat of a blurry right after. Then again, it was nothing important, they had fled the location as the Palace collapsed right then and there. Nothing more.
And that was how they had found themself back at the location they had been trapped in. Pipistrello most likely had readjusted them at that point, to be seated and fit right into the chair, all tied up again. Once more they could hardly move. Not just that but their eyes were met with the dark place yet again. Had that even worked? They couldn't verify it to be honest. Pipistrello had assured them that it would and Miyuki should be more than fine. In fact she should have 'a change of heart' sooner or later. the duration apparently varies from what it had told them. So they just had to wait and see. But... Could it really be that simple? No, this wasn't exactly simple actually. It took several steps after all and they were probably just lucky here. No way a Shadow could be this easy to take down! Then again, they had help, maybe that's why it had felt a little easier. Yet they could only do so much.
But what she had said... That Shadow... It was all odd. And not just that it had also gone by very quickly. They were just in the middle of processing it. They may have responded with their own words a certain way but... It was something to take in. Then again, maybe it was just to confuse them so they had to shrug it off. Not like they had much time to think about this any further to begin with. Why? Because they heard footsteps coming down from the other side of the door, then hearing it open and a female voice say: "There is more proof in here."
"In... Here? Are you sure?" Another voice spoke, a familiar sounding one. Wait a... Male one actually? Hold on, that voice... They would know it from anywhere. That was—
"Oh, and take your friend with you." The female continued before turning on the lights, finally making them see who it was there. And when they came face to face with both of them... Needless to say, the sight of Ishikawa was not a surprising one. After all, that's why they had been there to begin with. Because they were knocked out and then tied to this chair one way or another. But the other person... That one had them a bit in shambles. Or rather they were internally sweating at that moment, knowing where this would lead to. Then again, they had not expected him to be here. Why Akechi!? What is going on!? And what did Ishikawa mean by 'evidence'!? What happened!? They... Didn't know. Worst of all they could see that short glare after he had also been in shock to see their face. And they knew that they had to explain themself. He would not let them off the hook so easily and it made them a little startled, to say the least.
Though as the two were just looking at each other, the tension became a little uncomfortable for the person in the chair, they spotted Miyuki going up behind them and... Untying their wrists? Yeah, she did just that. They wanted to ask if there were strings attached to it, perhaps a trick? But no, they didn't get a chance. Not that they were brave enough to say anything right now to begin with. And then she added this so... Calmly. It was almost scary, in a sense. Yet also not really? Honestly the only unsettling thing here was the suddenness of Ishikawa's actions. Yet even that was not really 'scary' but rather sudden. Was that the change of heart? That... Was the only way but... It was hard to believe.
"If Anja wants to testify, she may." She then added before walking in front of them and lifting them up, then urging them to go to the entrance. But honestly, they weren't even sure if they should.
"Why did you keep her here?" They heard Akechi ask before spotting him walking around this tiny room, seeming to take a closer look at it himself.
"It should be obvious to you, shouldn't it?"
"You're right... This isn't my case to begin with." Not? Then why–
"You will give the one in charge the evidence I presume?"
"That's what you wanted me to do in the first place, isn't it?"
"Yeah. It is."
"Then I won't press any further."
The last thing they saw before being urged to walk outside was taking a closer look at Ishikawa. She... Looked a little strange, they had to admit. Though that expression was hard to read. There was a bit of pain right then and there but.... Was it really just that? There was something else about it. But they couldn't—
"By the way, why don't you go with the evidence to the police yourself?" Akechi asked out of nowhere, having turned around to face Ishikawa.
This one didn't seem to hesitate with her answer, the last laugh she made. "See it as my... Apology for dragging you through the mud. Besides, we both know what would happen if I went there all by myself."
That last part was a little odd, to say the least. Something would... Happen? What was the meaning of that?
Though they decided to not pry any further than that. Though it was a little odd to hear, to say the least.
