Talk about some interesting developments. Miyuki could not deny that in any way. Though it was also a bit of an inconvenience. Seeing Anja here of all people... Anja, daughter of that Wolff guy. And it seems that his blood really goes through her veins too. Right, her 'just happening to befriend' someone with the right ties. But that was not the part which should concern a young woman like her, she had more important business to attend to. She always did. What did some brat matter in the long run? No, she was interesting for another reason. And her knowing that bastard son was just making things easier.

Then again, a little girl for her Daddy would show up eventually. Miyuki had no doubt about that. Take her revenge, prove an innocence she cannot prove on her own. Is that why she had befriended the famous detective, the one the public oh so praises? It was rather easy to look through. A game of using and being used, wasn't that what was going on? Or was that just because that was the default state of the young lady's own life? Did she just project her own experience onto others? Well, the possibility couldn't be ruled out. Yet that didn't change anything either, just how well everything aligned. The pieces are coming together. This game was becoming more fun. Another doll to add to the collection... One to break.

But she unfortunately had a deal with someone else as well. It was the entire reason why she got away with all of these thrilling experiences. Seriously, having made a deal with the devil, most would call her insane. But that would be telling her nothing new.

On the surface she told her family the following: "Oh, but this man will soon climb the political ranks. Isn't it in the best interest of the Ishikawas to maintain a high status? I think if we connect with him in some way it will only benefit us in the long run." That was how she at least excused her ties to this man... Masayoshi Shido. A man who has swayed the masses, making them believe that they are doing this all on their free will. But it was all just an act, a ruse. Higher ups like this man are all just corrupt swines. And the masses are the innocent sheep. Point at the sources of the problem and they will come running to you, tell you just 'how right' you are. It was a very easy game. And it was fun to be at the sidelines of it all.

However, that was not something which had Miyuki interested nor why she kept in contact with this man. No, it had different reasons. She knew he was full of shit but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree? She was the exact same. And the bastard son? He was participating in the very same game. It seemed to be in the nature of this very family. Shido's breed would only bring out the worst of the worst. And she was embracing this to the fullest... Not to mention that it was the only power the young woman had over her own mother.

An affair, nothing serious. But doing such a thing behind the back of her family before marriage and then ending up with a baby... Oh the scandal it would have brought to the Ishikawas. A long built reputation ruined. So Miyuki's mother married quickly and the public would believe she was the daughter of this man. But it had never been like that. She was nothing but a dirty result, one which could bring the influential family crumbling. So the identity remained hidden, everyone believing that Miyuki was the result of a loving couple and not a moment of lust. Oh how wrong this was... And she had known all along.

Honestly, she never had any true desire to find out who her father was. She was not looking for warmth and care. She had never gotten it and she didn't bother with such things. No, seeking out her blood relative was nothing but to have one upper hand towards her old hag. Just one triumph. One thing she could hold over the woman's head. "You don't want me to make it public, dearest mother, do you? I mean, could you imagine the response if it turned out that you forged so many lies? All so you could keep your part of the inheritance. You wouldn't want that, would you?" Sure, it might bring her down too but not as much as the Ishikawas as a whole. Because how dare this happen? They rather fabricate a lie to be in power.

That was the world Miyuki grew up in. Nothing but power mattered. Power. She got roped in this game but that was fine. She had to keep a high position if she wanted to see people struggle, suffer, laugh at them from above. It was also why she had started to become part of this game, Shido's little game. She didn't mind getting her hands dirty. She never did. She stopped caring years ago. And when she had gotten her own hands dirty with blood... Well, there was no turning back. And honestly, she didn't mind.

Having seen that old man struggle as he met his demise, the ever so collected, calm man, all in his cell... Only to be shot a moment later and drop dead by 'mysterious circumstances'. Right after he has been held accountable for 'his' crime. Oh what joy. And his daughter? She resembled him in some way. Seeing her distraught, in shock, shaking in her seat... It reminded Miyuki of the sight. And it was exactly why she couldn't help herself that time. She just had to relive what she had seen years ago. Were there more faces like these? She was curious, she had to know. It was the only reason Miyuki had called Shido to begin with...

"You see, the little pest of a 'brother' is hanging out with Karl's daughter. What do we do?" She started off, tough sounding rather nonchalant. Miyuki had been inside a room, all by herself, with no one in sight. Her trusty butler was in front of the door, making sure that no one would walk inside. Just in case someone would get any funny ideas.

Though hearing the response... It made her sigh, her face looking a little displeased. Was he serious right now? That old man could be a pain in the ass if he wanted to be. This sounded so boring. "Wait and see? So I can't kill her or frame her?"

One would expect scolding on the other end. Well, it was but also wasn't. The way she got the response would send anyone shivers down their spine, given how coldly yet calmly it was delivered. Yet Miyuki? It didn't do much to her. In fact she was more upset about the content of his speech if anything. "Fine, whatever. She's not worth focusing on." She repeated with a scoff.

"Since when do you care?" She was asked something like that. A laughable question, really. It made her nearly burst out in laughter when hearing it on its own.

"Haha, no. I don't really care Sir. I'm just in it for the fun of crushing people." This was met with the usual silence. But of course it was. Then again, it should be more than obvious by now, shouldn't it? "Long story short, I can do whatever I want as long as she lives. That's all I wanted to hear." The fun can begin.
