Chapter 67 (Max) ( try)

I went to Mia's and explained everything , she was so understanding. And she held my hand while I told it all .
My phone rings .
I get up and answer it .

" I am fine Mom I swear ok love you " I say to my mother

" my poor mother " I say and let out a long breathe

I sit down next to Mia

" she is a sweet strong woman " Mia says

" yea I mean my father has out her threw it , all the fighting the almost divorce his part in our break up " I say
She lets out of breath I am sure she thinking about are brutal break up .

          " you know I didn't want to be away from you I really thought I was doing what was best for you " I tell her

      " You know I know this is hard but if Brody really wants to be an actual brother to you then you have to try" she changes the subject

I know she is right but it hurts. I mean I don't know why but it is scary .

          " I will try " I tell her

I leave Mia's about a hour later she was just saying nice things

  I get home to see my mom and dad and Brody in the living room

What I see there is 3 people who have concern in their eyes .

I love my dad even though he is controlling, I live my mother she only wants me to be happy and Brody I don't know him well I did kind of hate him but if he is my brother then I have to try .

         " Are you ok " my father and mother ask at the same time

           " I think so " I reply

      " you know Brody we have our own guest house " I say

         " our?" He questions

         " yea I mean I want to get to know you but I understand if it is too quick " I tell him

He has a big smile and he says

            " yea I would like that " he answers

After Brody puts his stuff in the other bed room in my or our guest house I offer him a beer .

        " I don't usally drink on a school night but I need something for my nerves " I tell him and hand him a beer

           " thank you I am really surprised thet you invited me " he says

      " well technically it is yours too " I simply say

     " I am sorry that I was such a jerk and you don't have to worry about Me ever being around Mia " he tells me

            " Yea that was tough on you I mean spending time with a beautiful girl and kissing her " I say and I literally finch at the thought of him kissing her

      ". It was not the worst thing " he says and laughs

     " No though you are why I went after her , and I can see how great you are together, " he tells me

     " I never been in love but I would like to" he adds

      " you will one day but not with my girl " I tell him and we laugh

We talk for a long while and I am glad that I decided to give him a chance .
