Chapter 11 (Mia) ( Presley Police officer )

I walked into Noodles and co to get me and my family take out the girl in front of me looks familiar but I can't place her . After she orders , I tell the cashier I am here to get my take out order . When I am done I hear the girl say .

" Mia is that you ?"

" Yea , umm I am sorry I know I know you from somewhere . I just can't place you " I say

She laughs and pushes her short hair behind her ear .

" I am Presley I am your boyfriend Max 's friend . " she says

Now I remember she saved us when that incident happened , she is a police officer  I know they use to hook up which I hate to even think of , she does look a few years older than us but I am not surprised Max's conquest back in the day didn't know age all that's mattter is that they was pretty .

" Thank you so much for saving  us that day ." I say

" I am so glad I could and Max he was so worried and then when y'all got together he was so happy and it all made sense I never thought he would settle down I am so glad he did ." She claims

It hurts to hear because we are not together . And she thinks he was settled down . It makes me want to throw up .

" How is Max , it been a long time since I talked to him . " she asks and says

" Well we broke up ." I tell her

" No he was so happy I can't believe it ." She says and she sits and her face looks as though she is  stunned .

I don't know what to say or what to do Presley obviously cares for Max . So I know it would not be good to run him down the road . And really I don't want to talk bad about him .

" He must be devastated." She says low

What does she think he was in love with me I don't even think that or at least not no more .

I laugh she looks at me in a strange way .

" He is the one that broke up with me ." I tell her

She gasps and  the says

" But I know how he feels about you and he never did with anyone else . He must be scared or something ."  She says

" Trust me he is not scared , he wants me to move on . " I say

" There is no way " she says and shakes her head .

The cashier calls my name .

" I need to get my food I am sorry if telling you this is wrong or something . " I say

" I just believe y'all was it you know ." She says

I grab my food and look at her .

" I have to ask you are you in love with Max ." I ask her

" No we are friends that is all , I really want him to be happy , In the  beginning I liked him , and attracted to him but not no more We have not slept together in over 2 years . I am married and very happy . And I just always thought Max would be just one girl from the next then I saw a difference in him when he told me about the incident how he acted . Then a few months later I ran into him and he was in love I could tell .He told me how happy you made him . I felt like it was a miracle. So if there is any way that y'all can make it work . Please try  Mia please ." She says

I dry  my tears I am speechless but she looks like she understands . Could it be that he really dose love me . !!!!!!
