Chapter 25 (Max) ( Halloween)

" How was your flight ? " I ask Pier

I just picked him up from the airport he came back for this Halloween party . We really only recently started talking again . I still feel bad over my part in it .

" It was a flight you know " he answers

He seems different , like he don't care . He may still be mad over the whole Mia thing .

" Listen I don't want it to be awkward I am sorry for my part in the whole Mia situation." I tell him

" Max you didn't do nothing she already broke up with before y'all got together , and I am trying to rebuild my friendship with both of you ." He says

I feel guilt wash over me I forgot for a second he didn't know we actually hooked up while they was together It is not like we was sneaking but it would happen but it was still wrong .

" Do you still have thing for her ? " he asks me

" No " I answer him harshly

He gives me I know better than that look .

" Look you was right I am not good for her . But way better than that other new guy ." I say without thinking

" She got new boyfriend she didn't mention that ." He questions

" No he just trying you know but he bad news he is rough looking and rides a motorcycle " I say

" Well we have to put a stop to it ." Pier say with I smile and I realize how much I miss him being around .

After we went back to my place and got changed into our costumes we head over to the party . The Hollaween party is always fun I didn't go last year I was conflicted about my feelings for Mia at the time she didn't go either because one day someone was talking about it and she said she knew nothing about it .

Pier is dressed up as Batman and I am dressed up like Mike Myers from Austin Powers , I look silly but it is a costume party so I guess it is Fine.

The party is in a huge place with a dj and a big dance floor it is awesome.

We are there for 10 minutes before we spot Mia but when we do it is like we are in a trance .

Mia is dressed in a playboy bunny costume she looks great actually looks like our costumes could have been matching , but we are not a couple and I look silly.

When she see us she rushes over and I know it is not for me no it is for Pier but somehow it is still hard for me to breathe . She wraps her arms around him and tells him she misses him .I wonder if we would ever be like that . Pier looks in the crowd and says

"Who is Liv suppose to be ?"

" She is Alice you know Alice and winder land ." She says then giggles

Dexter walks behind her and hands her a drink he dressed like a vampire but he has mask on .

" Oh so our the new guy who is trying to mess with our Mia ." Pier shouts

Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that to Pier .I didn't mean to it kind of just came out I have been worried about it I know that Brody dude is no good .

Mia eyes go wide and I feel my cheeks turn red.

" No Pier this is Dexter . " I say

" Sorry I didn't recognize you " Pier says

Mia shakes her head and is looking right at me she puts her hands in her hips . She is mad .

" Our Mia " she finally says looking between me and Pier .

" What " I yell and throw my hands up

" You are the most selfish jerk " she says and storms off

I feel bad if Brody was not so Brody I wouldn't been talking about him .

I run after her and Pier follows . I see her run into another room . When we get inside it had music

Equipment in it but it is only us in there .

" Mia " I say

" what do you want Max you push me away you want nothing to do with me remember , but someone else is the littlest bit interested and you what just talk about him , and what try to get Pier to what talk me out of it ." She yells .

She is mad she is yelling rambling she is out of breath . I feel bad because I did push her away , And I was trying to get Pier to talk her out of getting close to Brody .

" He is no good " Pier says

" Ok we don't really know him and you have never even met him . So why are both of you judging him .and nothing is going on any way ." Mia says out of frustration.

She she out her breathe on her panting causing her breast to pop out even more than it was in that bunny body suit .

" He rides a motorcycle Mia ." I say

" So really Max your reputation was bad but you are not bad." She says

Her words tug at my heart but I can't get all mushy .

" Well looks like I am back to my old ways . And you just stay away from him Mia " I yell

Anger is in Mia eyes , our stare is broken when Pier , phone rings .

" Sorry this is Shyanne I have to take it ." He says and walks out .

" Mia please I don't want you to get hurt ." I plead" Hurt you already hurt me so much pushing me away saying mean things . You don't want want me but you don't want nobody else to have me ." She says

" That is not true " I defend

" Dexter he is good " I add

Mia shakes her head .And then looks up and then says

" Pier you couldn't stand me with him ."

" No we tried to fight it , Pier is good and what we did behind his back was wrong and I tried to give you up because I knew he was better for you then me . But he is my friend I should not been hooking up with his girl while you two was together . " I say

" What " Pier asks with a horrified expression and the door close behind him .!!!!!!!!!!
