Chapter 40( Max) (Please don't leave)

I Don't know why Mia is here and why she is just looking at me and not answering me when I said her name . I get up and walk toward her I can tell something is wrong . Her face is red her hair is a mess , she is shaking.

" I am sorry I didn't think you would be here ." She finally says

" That is ok I come here a lot ." I admit

She looks confused.

" Your car was not here " she says and looks around she seems scared

" Yes it is the shop .I drove my dad's truck I just parked a little ways I thought I would get it stuck if parked back here in the grass." I say

I can't help but think why we are talking like everything is fine when it is obvious something is wrong . I then notice her straps on her dress are broken , with out thinking I touch it and softly ask

" Mia what happened?"

" I am sorry I shouldn't have come here ." She says and turns to walk out the door .

" Please Mia you come here for a reason and you know it is yours place and if you want I can leave and you can stay I know you don't want to be around me just please you are scaring me you seem really upset ." I say

She walks past me and sits on the bed .

" I will tell you what happened." She states then tears start to stream down her face and my heartbreaks a little .

I walk closer with my hands in pocket waiting for her to tell me what is going on .It s like she building up her courage .

" Whatever it is I am here for you ." I say trying to make her feel better .

" Umm I went sailing with Mr.Mathis ."

I hate that jerk if he did something to her I will kill him .

" At 1st it was fine , then he like came on to me , basically and I wanted to leave I was very uncomfortable with the whole thing , he got aggressive he kissed me ,I got him off me . He ripped my dress , he was really rough I was so scared . " she says and now is heaving .

I am so mad thinking he did that to her . I knew he was after her . But I don't say that to Mia the last thing she needs is to hear I told you so .

" That no good nothing I am going to kill him ." I say and turn to walk out and find him .

I am stoped by her soft hands pulling my shoulder . I turn around and see her beautiful eyes all filled with tears .

" Please don't " she begs

He deserves for me to beat the crap out of him .

" Please Don't leave " she pleads

" I don't want to be alone ." She adds

I couldn't say no I can tell she needs me .

" Ok " I simply say

She sits back down on the bed and says

"I just ran and ran I didn't know where to go this was the closest place ." She says

" Do you think he followed you ?" I ask

" No I kneed him and that gave me head start ." She says

That 's my girl .I am so glad she is strong enough to do that .

" Max will you please not tell no one I just I am embarrassed you and everyone told me to stay way from him and my parents they would like want to sue or something ." She says

" Mia he shouldn't get away with it ." I say

" I am not going to be around him . I will not be his assistant I will be ok ."

I hate the thought of that jerk walking in the same school as Mia but she needs kind words right now .

" Mia your secret is safe with me . " I say

" I know you kept my Princeton secret ." She says and there's a emotion between us I don't know what it is maybe memories .

" Max you think you can hold me for a little while ? " she asks

" Yes " I say and we get into the bed . I hold her and Thank God she is ok . !!!!!!!!!
