Chapter 55 ( Mia) ( Telling the family )

Liv came over and braided my hair where it looks like I have a braid for a head band and the rest of it is flat iron straight I have on a yellow dress it has a little fluff .

" You seem nervous do you think Lee will go crazy ?"

She asks a s she is right I am nervous but I am really not about Lee when I found out that him and Kylie decide to come back here to spend the rest of the long weekend they have . Lee collage classes was out because of meeting or something I knew I want to go ahead and tell my family about me and Max .. But I am nervous about my new problem. I decide to get Liv's take on it .

" No not Lee I told Max we can't sleep together anymore right now ." I stutter

Liv's mouth flies open and she drops a tube of lipstick she was applying . She bends down and picks it up and then says

" Y'all relationship always surprises me "

"well what do you think ? " I ask

" I don't know is that why you are telling your family do you think he will want out ? She asks all at once

"no I really don't think that I think he wants to be with me but for personal reasons I told him we can't right now and he accepted that . I tell her

"I'm sure It will

be fine but boys egos is a very sensitive subject you have to be careful not to hurt his ego " She says

" Has anything changed in your relationship since ye started not sleeping together." She adds

" well it's only been since Last night , But I told him about metting my family and he's excited about that . I say

Liv' s eye brow go up and I hope I have not messed up our relationship.

It is almost dinner time when Max arrives , but I talked to Kylie and they are 5 mins out so I drag Max out to the back yard .

" Are you OK with me telling my family this." I ask

He looks at me with surprise in his eyes his bluer than blue eyes match his the shirt today .

" I am here to tell your family about us that has been the plan ."He says

" Why wouldn't I want to tell your family ?" He asks

"I just want to make sure you still think We will be together for a while ." I question him

he put his hand on my shoulder.

" I am in this for the long haul " he says with a chuckle

" is this about us not being inmate for a while ." He asks

I bust into laugher I never thought he would use that word .

" I guess it does have me thinking I mean you could get sex from any girl ." I say without thinking I really do wish I would not I have said that

" Mia Drays do you not realize even though I have told you over and over you are the only girl I want .

At the dinner table my mother and father is asking Max a lot of questions and I am proud of how he is handling his self with my brother giving him death stares the entire time . Right after dessert I decide to tell my family what I think they already know .

" Max and I are going out like boyfriend and girlfriend ." I announce

I look at Lee who fist is in a ball .

" Mia me and your father figured that . It was not necessary to tell us we could tell ." My mother says I look at Max and I know it is crazy but it seems like he has love in his eyes .

I snap my head when I hear a loud thud it is my brother Lee's glass he must have sit it down to hard .

" I will go get towel to clean up the mess Lee ." My mother says

" Really Mia " Lee says with anger

Kylie grabs his hand in an attempt to calm him .

" Lee what is going on . " My father asks

He don't answer he just stares at Max .

" Maybe I should leave ." Max says

As my mother walks back into the dining room with towel in her hands she looks at Max and says

" Why would you want to leave?"

I can't take this Lee is going to strain my family realnship with Max so I know I have to pick up for him I have to pick up for myself .

" Lee is mad because me and Max are together ." I say

" After he dumped you ." He Throws out

" You don't understand what all that was ." I say

" I was wrong but it is stuff you don't understand . I love her I wish I could take those months back trust me I was miserable without her but I won't be like that any more. Because I love her and I want to be with her ."He says

Wow a love confession in front of my family . The whole table is in shock my heart is beating so fast . My mother has stop wiping up Lee's mess and is just looking at us .

Then my mother stand up and says to Lee

" Stop being mean they clear have deep feelings for each other but young love is hard enough without a overprotective brother to deal with ."

Lee puts his hands up and says

" Last year I thought I seen it then you left her I swear if you hurt her I will beat you so bad no girl the world could stomach looking at your face . ."

After dinner me and Max walk out to the back yard and sit on the lawn furniture.

I feel close to him his words I think for a brief moment could he be saying such passionate words to try to get in my pants . I shake that thought . Our feet is on the little table and my arm is threw his and we are holding hands .

" Are you worried about what my brother said it was brutal ?" I ask

"No " he answers

" Because I am not going to hurt you " he adds

I lay my head in his shoulder and enjoy the rest of night .!!!!!
