I feel my stomach twirling , it is not excitement, it nervousness.
I know I am gonna see Max and I know he is gonna look good because he is Max Rogan , he always looks good. I know he will have a beautiful date because again he is Max Rogan, and I have seen him online he has a lot of dates . I never really heard of him actually a girlfriend. I have to get threw this , I could not not be here but I want to be here for , Pier .
And I know Max wants to be here for Pier too .
It is a wonder we have not bump into each other before now , But his father moved his business to New York so there was no reason for him to come back here and visit but their beautiful house is still there I heard they was never going to sell it .
( I can't wait to get to the reception, I need a night out I love Xander but I have not drunk in well like 3 months or so " my best friend Bethany says
I dont answer her
"Is something bothering you ?" She asks
" Um no " I quickly reply
" Maybe it is the fact that you are going to see you know who" she says and stops me by the arm and gives me a sympathetic look
" I am a little nervous just to see him it's been so long " I state
" you should get back with him " she tells me
" Bethany come on he is baseball celebrity and he is probably dating some one I am sure " I say
" well you have not " she tells me
It is the truth but it still hurts to hear .
" whatever let's sit down " I demand
As we take our seats I see a man in the opposite side and 2 rows up ,
It is him Max looks as good as he use to .
I can't look away but I want to .
When his eyes catch mine he smiles and waves
I just look away .
I should have done something.
Yes our break up was bad but he did nothing wrong I have no right to be mad .
I thought he would hate me ,
That he would act like he didn't see me ,
Then when he gets drunk he brag on all of his chicks but we have not got that far yet .
After the wedding which was beautiful, me and Bethany and Kylie is gather around my car .
My brother comes walking over
" I have this work thing I am sorry" he states
" that ok I will go to the reception with the girls" Kylie tells him
They hug and my brother gives me a tap on the shoulder
" I can't believe Pier is married " we hear from behind us
It is Liv and with Dexter by her side
I hug both of my old friends
When we are the reception I have not seen Max , I have been looking around for him .
Finally I see him is talking to Pier .
I study him but only because I can't force my eyes off of him
He looks at me and he says something to Pier then he starts to walk over this way .
Is he coming toward me .
My heart is beating so fast .
I am in panic mode I have to get out of here
" I need to leave " I say
I get up
Kylie puts her hand on mine and asks
" What is wrong "
" it Is Max coming over here it be best to get it over with " Bethany says
She might be right but I am scared .
I start to move but before I can .
He is there in front of the table and I can't move now .
" Hi Mia and girls " Max says
" hi " I manage to say
" how are ye " he says
"We all say " good "
So maybe he will just be polite
Maybe he won't want to cause a sence
Or maybe he forgot all about me and the fact we even went out he has such a good life now I bet that is what it is .
" Mia can I speak to you for just a minute in private " he asks
So I guess he didn't forget
He may just want to clear the air .
" Umm yea" I say
We walk out of the banquet hall .
" so your design company that is Amazing " he tells me
" yea thank you " I answer
" And you I mean you are really living your dream you made it you are a baseball player I knew you would " I say
He smiles and says
" um yea it is nice but I wouldn't say I am living the dream " he says
Is he trying to get sympathy?
" Well you are doing what you love making tons of money I say you are doing ok " I say
He laughs
Pier' father walks up and he is drunk and he says
" dance go on Max ask the pretty girl to dance " he drunkly dance
" woukd you like to dance " he asks
I don't want to turn him down so
" yea"
He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor .
