Nayantara's POV
I felt someone pulling me. I opened my eyes slightly, just to see Veer practically on me, holding my waist as if he were going to engulf me. Just looking at his innocent face as he slept deeply, I couldn't believe we were finally married. Well, the things that happened last night, ahem, can't forget that. But yeah, you get my point.
I carefully caressed his face, trying not to wake him. All I wanted to do was kiss him all over and relive another episode of last night.
"Ufff, my morning view just got 100 times better," he sighed dramatically in his coarse morning voice, which, for some reason, I found sexy.
"Good morning, Veer," I said, as he kissed me multiple times.
"Good morning, Tara Ji," he replied. I looked at his naked chest. Well, I had done quite an artwork on his chest, and maybe his back too.
"Like what you see?" he smirked.
"Shameless," I replied shyly and pushed him off me.
"For you, always," he said, winking.
"Veeerrrr," I said in a low voice.
"Haan?" he asked.
"Wanna join?" I said, indicating the shower. And before he could answer, I slammed the bathroom door.
"Not fairrr," he grumbled as I laughed.
"You got late!" I shouted back.
After the shower, I got ready. It was already late, and Veer was not in the room. Thankfully, after the stunt I pulled, he would not have spared me. I wore a saree Maa Sa had given me for my first Rasoi.
As I walked down, everyone was already in the dining hall, ready for breakfast, and surprisingly, Veer was ready too.
"Good morning," I said to everyone, and they replied.
"Did you sleep well, bacche?" Dadi Sa asked.
"Ji," I replied.
There was a comfortable silence surrounding the table as everyone had their breakfast.
"Beta, if you're comfortable and have rested enough, then we have a small ritual of Pehli Rasoi, where you will have to cook something sweet for the family," Maa Sa explained.
"Ji, Maa Sa, I will do that," I replied, as I started thinking about what to make.
After breakfast, Maa Sa and I walked to the kitchen, where she introduced me to the cooks and helpers.
"Beta, they will help you with everything. And please don't overdo it. It's just a ritual," she said, patting my head softly.
"Chhoti Rani Sa, kya banayenge aap?" the head cook asked. (Young Queen, what are you going to prepare?)
"Humne socha hai ki hum churma banaye, aap dal baati bana denge?" I asked. (I've thought to make churma. Can you prepare dal baati?)
"Ji," she replied politely and got to work.
I started with making churma. Being a Rajasthani, It was one of the things I had loved since childhood. Churma is something people of all age groups like. Hopefully, they do too.
