Nayantara's POV
With just two weeks left before my wedding, I am overwhelmed with a whirlwind of emotions. It's hard to grasp that I'll be leaving everything behind—my life, my home, my comfort zone—to start anew with the person I love.
It's a huge change, and I can't quite get my head around it yet. I know I have been ranting about this since last few months, but I am still not able to settle this fact.
Today, my friends and Ruhi Bhabhi Sa have planned a small party, and I'm really looking forward to this little escape with the people closest to me.
"Where are you guys?" I asked impatiently as soon as Anjali picked up my call.
"We're on our way, baba. Chill and wait a bit," she said in her usual calm tone.
Honestly, I've been feeling irritated for the past few days. It's like everything is getting on my nerves. Last night, I even got frustrated with myself for forgetting my charger in the car, and I was too lazy to go back and get it.
As I sat thinking about why I was feeling so irritable, Ruhi Bhabhi Sa walked into my room.
"Kiske khayalon mein khoyi ho, Jaaneman?" she said dramatically. (In whose thoughts are you lost, my love?)
"Nothing, Bhabhi Sa. I don't know... I'm just feeling irritated," I replied, with a frown on my face.
"Offo, it happens to all of us. Don't overthink it. Just enjoy these last few days of your single life," she said, wrapping me in a side hug.
"Anjali and Priyanshi will be here soon," I said, trying to smile.
"Well, then get ready, our soon-to-be bride. Let the party begin!" Ruhi Bhabhi Sa said excitedly.
Anjali and Priyanshi arrived shortly after, and we all went to the lounge where we had planned out the night.
I was wearing a simple grey frilly short dress, made from shiny organza fabric. The dress code for the party was casual—just wear whatever you're comfortable in.
"Come on, bitchesss, let's start the party!" Priyanshi shouted, full of energy.
"Hold your horses, we're not getting wild here," Anjali warned.
"Party pooper," Priyanshi sulked, crossing her arms.
"Guys, I brought champagne. Don't worry, it's non-alcoholic. But it'll be a fun way to celebrate and take some pictures," Ruhi Bhabhi Sa said, holding up a bottle with a smile.
The evening was full of laughter and random conversations. We were having fun when suddenly, my phone started ringing.
"It's Jiju Saaa!" Anjali teased, noticing the caller ID.
"Is it a video call?" Ruhi Bhabhi Sa asked.
"Yessss!" Priyanshi chirped, bouncing on her seat.
"Okay, okay, let me pick it up," I said, blushing a little.
Before I could grab the phone, Anjali snatched it from my hand and answered the call.
"I'm missing yo... umm... hey," Veer said, realizing it was Anjali and not me.
