Author's POV
It was time for Rajveer to execute his plan. He reached the Ranawat palace at the said time and went inside, where he met Karan and Ragini. Ragini was dressed in Nayantara's clothes and had draped a dupatta over her head.
"All set?" Karan asked.
"Yes, Bhai Sa. DCP Mihir and the rest of the team are stationed at their positions. There are trackers in the car and on our clothes, and a team is constantly updating DCP Mihir about our location," Rajveer replied.
"Okay, that's great. Miss Ragini, are you confident and ready?" Karan asked.
"Yes, Sir. All ready, and I'm confident that I will crack this mission," Ragini said with a smile.
"Jiju Sa, are you sure you don't want me to follow you?" Karan asked again.
"No, Bhai Sa. I have covered everything, and I don't want to risk any trouble for you or the family," Rajveer said, assuring him.
They shared a hug, and soon they left. As expected, someone was keeping an eye on them. As Rajveer and Ragini sat in the car and drove off, their followers updated their team, confirming that the prey had left.
"Miss Ragini, you know the risks of this mission, right?" Rajveer asked.
"Yes, Sir. And I am ready for anything that comes our way," Ragini replied confidently.
Soon, they reached the forest area and pretended that the signal was low. Rajveer got out of the car and sent DCP Mihir a signal to proceed with the plan, as Phase 1 was complete. He acted as though the car had stalled and the signal was weak.
As expected, a car that had been following them approached cautiously, its occupants seeming to figure out what was wrong.
"Tara, the car isn't starting," Rajveer said loudly, ensuring the others could hear him.
"Oh no, what should we do now?" Ragini replied, pretending to be Tara.
"Let's wait here for a while. Some car will help us since the signal isn't good here," Rajveer said.
Hearing this, the people in the other car came closer.
"Hey, do you need help?" the driver from that car called out.
"Um... yes, I think the battery is dead," Rajveer replied.
The other person sitting with the driver kept looking at Ragini, who was sitting inside the car.
"Where are you heading?" the driver asked Rajveer.
"Just to the city," Rajveer said.
"Oh... we can help tow you to a nearby mechanic," the driver said.
"Oh, that's great. Thanks," Rajveer replied.
As they attached the car to theirs, Rajveer sat back inside. "Looks like we passed the first part," he smirked and said to Ragini.
"We sure did. Now let's wait for the next part to take action," Ragini replied, smirking back.
Meanwhile, in the kidnappers' car, the driver spoke. "That was easy. The boss will be happy."
