Author's POV
It was time for the second day of the wedding, and a grand feast for the entire city had been arranged. The city was rejoicing in the union. On this special day, both the kings and queens had arranged gifts and sweets for every household in Sindurgarh.
People were swarming the palace garden, gathered to bless the new couple. Blessings were showered upon them from all sides. Rajveer, smart and handsome, had already proven to the people how worthy he was of their princess. His charm was undeniable, and the people adored him. Nayantara, on the other hand, was a sweet and quiet girl, someone they had always loved.
Although Nayantara and Rajveer were present at the event, with the crowd around them, they barely had time to be with each other.
The feast came to a close by evening, and the palace settled down for the day. Everyone went to bed early, as the next day was Mehendi.
Preparations for the event were complete, and the artists had arrived. The Mehendi ceremony was a combined affair.
Nayantara was dressed in an elegant, colorful saree, while Rajveer wore a matching Jodhpuri Sherwani. They both looked like a power couple.
Nayantara sat for her Mehendi, as the artist worked her magic, decorating her hands and legs with mesmerizing and intricate designs. A portrait of the power couple was featured in the intricate patterns.
Rajveer, eager to catch a glimpse of his bride-to-be, tried to get close to her, but to his dismay, the family and friends kept him at a distance. Meanwhile, Nayantara enjoyed the playful restlessness of her groom.
"Someone seems eager to meet his bride," Rishabh teased.
"Shut up! You all aren't helping me!" Rajveer whined.
"Chill, dude. Just two more days," Gautam said.
"Two days? That's so long!" Rajveer replied, irritated.
The others laughed, enjoying the playful banter.
"Bhai Sa, you're throwing a tantrum like you're five years old," Aditi joked.
"Of course, he will. He's getting his favorite person, and now he'll get to play the adult games," Lakshay winked at Rajveer.
"Do you both want me to take back the gifts I brought for you?" Rajveer said, trying to keep a stern face, though he was blushing hard.
"Bhai Sa, try harder. We can see you blushing," Lakshay teased, nudging Rajveer, making everyone burst into laughter.
While the elders were busy with the ceremony, Rajveer and his friends, along with his siblings, gathered in a corner, continuing their banter.
Nayantara was nearly done with her Mehendi, but she was famished. "Anji, yaar khana laa do please," she said with a pout. (Anji, please get me some food.)
"Sirf khana? ya khana khilane wala bhi?" Priyanshi teased, high-fiving Anjali. (Only food? Or someone to feed also?)
"Stop teasing me!" Nayantara blushed.
As she looked toward the other side, where Rajveer was sitting with everyone, their eyes met, and they shared a sweet smile.
Rajveer, sensing her hunger, went out and returned with a plate full of her favorite food. Nayantara saw him walking toward her, and everyone hooted with excitement.
