Nayantara's POV
I've been feeling uneasy since last night—something just doesn't seem right. Despite the lingering thoughts, I went downstairs for breakfast. Tomorrow is a big day—our last date before the wedding—and I'm super excited.
I had called my best friends over to help me pick the perfect outfit for the occasion.
"Do you still have that grey dress?" Priyanshi asked.
"Nooo, she's worn it way too many times," Anjali retorted.
"Guys, I asked you to help me, not confuse me!" I said, rolling my eyes at their endless banter.
Just then, Bhabhi Sa entered. "Hey girls, what's all the excitement about?" she asked.
"Just our Princess here panicking over a date with someone who's already head over heels for her," Priyanshi quipped playfully.
"A date, huh?" Bhabhi Sa teased, joining in.
"Come on, guys! Help me, please!" I pleaded, hoping they'd stop teasing and actually help.
"Wait! I think I know the perfect outfit," Anjali said with a mischievous smirk before disappearing into my closet.
"What the hell? Are you crazy?" I exclaimed when she returned with a skimpy satin dress.
"Oh la la! He'll definitely be drooling all over the place," Priyanshi teased, laughing.
"Why do you even have this?" Bhabhi Sa asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Wh... What?! I didn't even know I owned that! Oh my God, you guys set me up, didn't you?" I accused, glaring at all of them. They burst into laughter.
"Relax! We know you'd never wear this outside. We were just kidding," Anjali said, hugging me.
"You guys sit and chat. I'll join you in a while. Should I send in some snacks?" Bhabhi Sa asked.
"Yess, thank you, Ruhi Bhabhi Sa! You're the best!" Priyanshi said as Bhabhi Sa left.
"I also have something to share," I said cautiously.
"What is it?" they asked in unison.
"Don't tell me you've gone to third base," Priyanshi teased, giggling.
"Nooo, shut up! It's nothing like that," I said, blushing.
"Tell us already!" Anjali prodded.
"Veer called me last night. We just had a normal conversation, but I can't shake off this feeling that something's wrong," I admitted, voicing my fears.
"Relax! It's probably just pre-wedding jitters, and you're overthinking," Anjali said.
"Why don't you call him and see for yourself?" Priyanshi suggested.
I called Veer, but his phone was switched off. "See? I told you something's not right!" I panicked.
"He's probably in a meeting," Anjali said.
"Or maybe he forgot to charge his phone," Priyanshi added.
"No! This is not normal. His phone is never off, and he hasn't called me all day," I argued, dialing his number repeatedly.
