Jennie went on her day like usual. After sending Lisa off, she then prepared Jevin to go to school. Marco and Chittip took him to school because Chittip had a prior commitment to attend to. Therefore, Jennie went straight to Grandma Manoban to spend the morning before heading to the greenhouse so Grandma Manoban could rest.

"I think my head is about to burst," she whispered, sitting under the small tree where Mercy was resting. "I think I'm going crazy, Mercy. Should I do something else? Knitting doesn't help kill my boredom anymore, nor arcade games are helping."

Creak...

Jennie blinked slowly, moving her gaze to the entrance. There, closing the door of the entrance, was Bear.

Grr...

"Mercy." Jennie placed her hand on Mercy's back, rubbing it to calm it down. "It's fine."

She kept her gaze fixed on Bear. "What?"

"What's that about this morning?" Bear didn't go around in circles, bearing a grim expression. "You're having nightmares?"

"Well... I'm going crazy if that'll explain it." Jennie let out a deep exhale, setting her eyes on Mercy while rubbing its back. "It's just a nightmare, but being careful won't harm anyone."

"Your husband's assistant, Mr. Kim, is keen on those things. After all, the man is always with him. If their vehicle explodes, he'll be burned with him."

"Refrain from saying such ominous remarks, Bear." She cast him a quick glance. "I'm already worried and being pregnant on top of that doubles the anxiety and paranoia."

"That's exactly my point." Bear let out another distressed exhale. "With your condition, you shouldn't stress yourself over such things."

"Can you blame me, Bear?" Jennie frowned, yet maintained a strong front. "I told you to drag Joker's ass to me, but until now, I don't see his shadow. Should I go myself and drag him from wherever the hell he is hiding?"

"What do you think he can do? Bringing him here and exposing your identity, which you hid carefully —"

"Do I look like I care about that right now?" She hissed, eyes burning in red. "Primo Rossi, that fucking Eric and those motherfuckers want my husband dead just because he is Lisa Manoban. I want to kill all of them just so I stop thinking about them, Bear."

Bear opened his mouth but then clenched his teeth. His fists were tight, but after studying her face, they slowly loosened along with his stiff shoulders. Jennie was pregnant, and thus, she was highly emotional. She had never been pregnant in the past. Therefore, this was both new to them.

Jane had always been just angry, but level-headed. Now she was just angry.

"I'm sorry," Bear breathed out, backing down upon his realization. "I didn't mean to argue."

"Hah..." Jennie huffed, looking away from him. "I know my emotions can be erratic with my child growing in me. As much as possible, I want to stay calm and level-headed for my baby's sake. But... how can I do that when even my dreams are telling me my husband might die?"

She ground her teeth, hand stopping on stroking Mercy's back. "I will kill and bury them all alive before they can even touch my husband."

'Do not be rash,' was what he wanted to tell her, but Bear bit his tongue. He assessed her side profile, noticing she was breathing through her slightly parted lips. Her brows were arched, and she was barely blinking, hand still on Mercy's back.

'Even in the past, she could be very rash,' he thought, recalling that time she made a rash decision to prance in an enemy's hideout just to save him. Even though it was a rash decision, she still succeeded. However, that incident scared him.

That incident was the only time he thought Jane was a devil. He thought, at that time, she snapped and wouldn't be back to her normal self. He was terrified she would become that person again. She already changed when she woke up as Jennie Kim, and to be fair, Bear had already gotten used to her new self.

'She worked so hard not to be the Jane she knew,' he thought, lowering his eyes to hide the bitterness in them. 'After all that advice... I didn't realize I was the one who needed this advice. I am the one who had grown complacent, thinking no one will come after her since she's now Jennie Kim.'

Bear slowly raised his head, his expression growing solemn. "Should I kill them all?"

"Hmm?"

"I'll tear all of them apart." His eyes glinted menacingly. "Just say the word."

Jennie pressed her lips into a thin line as she held her breath, noticing the gradual change in Bear's usual gentle countenance. Even Mercy could feel the menacing shroud emitting from his back, making the blank panther stand.

'Did I go too far?' she wondered, but her heart didn't waver. "There's no need. We'll kill all of them in one swoop."

She looked away, eyes glinting. "Eric, Primo Rossi, and everyone... were going to burn together."

"You'll keep Eric stick around?"

"Heh..." Jennie set her eyes back to Bear, smirking. "Half-asses deserve a K.O. He'll come in handy in the future."

Her smirk stretched even more, making Bear furrow his brows slightly. Whatever that was going on in her mind, Bear knew it was not a good one.

[NORTH WING]

"Heh..." Eric chuckled as he ended the call, tossing the phone on the round table in front of him. "Things are about to get interesting."

He turned his head to the window beside him, smirking. A glint flickered across his eyes, in a good mood at the news he received this morning.

"Lisa..." he breathed out, chuckling at the thought that crossed his mind. "... I've always admired your wits. But I guess... you're not as clever as I thought. Your arrogance will soon meet its end."

'Don't worry,' he thought, eyes drooping. 'I'll take care of this family for you. After all, we share the same face.'

[GRANDMA MANOBAN's room]

"Madam, your medicines." Butler Fu reminded the old madam, seeing that the latter was just staring at an old family portrait.

"Butler Fu," she called, her voice was a little shaky but laced with calmness. "Prepare my black clothes."

"Old Madam?"

"Who knows..." Grandma Manoban lowered the picture frame to her lap, turning her head to the window with eyes filled with guilt and sadness. "... when I will attend a funeral."
