"You will lose me either way. Trust me if you want me to trust you. I think I've proven myself enough. Am I that incapable and unreliable in your eyes that you think I'll just burden you?"
Jennie and Lisa stared at each other in silence. Her lips quivered until she was biting her lower lip, teary-eyed.
"So scary..." she muttered, taking a step closer to him. "Don't get angry."
Lucas, who was fear-stricken, still couldn't help but react. "Is this still part of your mood swings? I doubt."
"Please." Lisa breathed out, loosening his grip on her arm. "Don't run off like that. If you'll go, then take me with you. I won't burden you. I promise."
"That's not it..." Jennie pressed her lips into a thin line. She tilted her upper body to see the direction where they came from, unfazed by the gruesome sight. Her eyes fell on the man who fell from the ceiling; the person Lisa shot to save her the trouble.
"Wife." Lisa tugged her arm to get her attention. "We'll save Jevy together, alright?"
"Hmm... fine." Jennie huffed quietly, casting Lucas a look. "But stay on the back. It's too dangerous ahead."
"Well, I hate to sound like a bitter guy here, but can you please settle your feelings later?" Suddenly, Joker's voice came from behind her pocket, making Lucas and Lisa glance at her jeans pocket. "We got company and I'll be a little busy. Just continue on that way. The kids are safe... for now."
Jennie and Lisa's expression turned sharp at Joker's remarks. Joker still left them notes on how many enemies they would be expecting and even told them that more were coming. After giving them all the details they needed, Joker went completely silent but stayed on the line.
Jennie looked at Lisa squarely. "Stay behind, okay?" she stressed, squeezing his arm tightly.
"I'll go first and don't fight me on this," she added, casting Lucas a quick look. "Lucas, this will be over soon. So, bear with us for now."
Lucas pressed his lips into a thin line, a little teary from the genuine concern. "It's fine. This is nothing compared to that time."
'That time?' Lisa cast his brother a look but didn't dwell on it. Jevin's safety was the most important right now. "Go. I'll cover you."
A subtle smile turned up on her face at her husband's remarks. At least, he understood he couldn't go first or Lucas, as it was too dangerous. Although it was obvious Lisa was very displeased about this fact, he had to swallow his pride and ego. His son's life was on the line and no matter how harsh the reality was, Jennie was more skilled than them.
"Follow me."
With that being said, Jennie turned around and tossed the gun in her possession. She marched through the hallway with Lisa and Lucas behind her, looting the dead on the way for another round of intense shoot-out.

"I hate you and you're second to my list. However, right now, I'm calling it a truce." Bear glanced at the drone flying on his side, hearing Joker's voice from it.
Bear peeled his gaze from the drone, holding a man's arm behind him before slamming the man's body against the wall. He stepped back, watching the body fall with his blood smearing down the wall.
"What?" asked Bear, turning his head to the drone on his side. "Can you provide earpieces for everyone?"
"I can't do that right now since I didn't expect to be this involved." Joker's voice didn't carry the slightest urgency, but rather, it was laced with nothing but sarcasm. This was what he meant when he said children made him work harder; he had to talk to Bear, who did the unspeakable to him months ago.
"But anyway, let's chat next time." Joker cleared his throat as he shifted his focus from Bear's screen to the other drones he set up around the building. "More people are coming this way. Man... they're all the members of that stupid gang."
"Where are they?"
"Huh?"
"The Manoban's."
"Oh, them? They're on the underground floor, busting through everything like a tornado. I mean that young madam. Mark's with them, holding some enemies back. That's not important, though. They're adults and they will reach the boy soon." This time, Joker's tone went solemn. "Go back up the stairs. That Primo Rossi's impostor is having the time of his life watching this without spending on pay-per-view. Don't kill him, though, he's mine..."
CLANG!
Joker trailed off while Bear took a deep breath at the sound of glass shattering. Bear slowly turned around, seeing people in black gear break through the windows from the outside. He glanced over his shoulder, and some more men were also there.
He was surrounded.
"Third floor?" he whispered solemnly.
"Rooftop," answered Joker as his drone faced the other direction. "I'll take these guys on this way. I'm helping you just because you're old and we share a common enemy."
Primo Rossi.
"Say, Joker." Bear took a deep breath as he watched the men before him. "Why did you say he is an impostor?"
"Primo Rossi is dead and that man on the rooftop? He is... no one. A man who enjoys living the life of the identities he stole for fun. Even the boss wouldn't deliberately make him an enemy if she were alive. The man's sick in the head." The drone slowly flew toward the man in the hallway, warranting retaliation from them.
BANG BANG BANG!
As bullets came from all directions, Bear instinctively lifted the guys around his vantage point as his shield. When the drone reached the enemy's vicinity, it stopped in midair.
BANG!
The people who missed the drone initially immediately aimed at it. However, as soon as they shot the drone, it exploded, taking them with it.
Meanwhile, Bear growled as he waited for the drone to explode to take his enemies off guard. When the firing paused, he threw the lifeless body riddled with bullets at them.
BANG BANG BANG!
The men in black gears shot at the incoming body, barely seeing through the thick smoke. The sight of a gigantic man emerging from the smoke behind the first body made them freeze in fear.
"You young ones need more than those fancy gears to take me down!"
ACK!
Another round of bullets echoed on the floor they were on until the shooters went down one after another. Defeated by an unarmed old man, whom they all underestimated.

"I told them to take him down when they get the chance." Primo sighed as he clicked his tongue, watching the situation inside the building through a tablet in his hand. "My, my. This old fellow is too dangerous, indeed!"
When Primo swiped right, the screen moved on to the ground floor, where another person was wreaking havoc.
"And this guy right here... I knew it." Primo smirked, staring at the invincible Tiger, who was currently running through the exit. However, Tiger wasn't running for his life, but rather welcoming the incoming unit enthusiastically.
"I thought I was mistaken, but I did see this guy before."
"Boss, everything is ready." A glint flickered across Primo's eyes as he smirked when his right-hand man spoke behind him.
"Very well. Since everyone is already inside..." Primo trailed off as he felt something crawling on his shoulder. He glanced at his shoulder, only to see a small spider tapping at it. "Fucking clown..."
"Boss!"
BOOM!
