According to International Central Intelligence, this woman was one of the most dangerous felons on their top-wanted list. An entire page was not enough for the list of crimes she had done throughout her time. Name it, she had done it all. This woman was so powerful that even the chief of the said government agency had to admit they couldn't catch her so easily. After all, this information about her wouldn't even enter their system if she didn't put it herself.

Yes.

Shameful as it was, she would remain faceless if she didn't infiltrate the agency's headquarters and put a face to the nameless head of the biggest and most notorious assassination organization in the underground world. She was a big shot. Bold and fierce, ruthless and almost untouchable.

That was who she truly was.

Reading Jane Cruel's profile he got from Bear, Lisa didn't know what to feel about it. All he could do all night was stare at the monitor screen, eyes on the woman's profile. She was gorgeous in that unsmiling photo of her, but also, just one look and one could tell she was someone one mustn't cross.

"Was she amazing?" he murmured. "Despite all this information about her, it is still unsure how powerful and well-connected she was."

What Bear sent him was all about his wife. There wasn't in here that said who she worked with and how far in the world her power could reach. Strange, he thought. Her profile would stretch into a thick book, but for him, everything was too vague.

"Hah... is he telling me there's no need to feel shame since she's actually this woman?" Lisa pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling his head throb. After a minute, he peeked from his one eye, only to gaze at the unsmiling portrait of the most notorious woman in the world.

'This is crazy,' he thought, letting out another deep exhale as he leaned back.

Myriads of thoughts invaded his mind at the thought of Jane Cruel. Not only was he puzzled to see this woman again after many years, they were claiming this same woman was actually his wife. His wife, not just someone close to him, but his wife. The woman he spent countless nights and mornings with. The woman whom he adored and pampered; the woman who took care of their son and even his little brother.

That woman he knew... was this same cruel woman?

Impossible.

But then again, baffling as it may, it somehow made sense, which was even crazier.

How?

How could another person get inside another person's body? This was not fiction where the author could easily sprinkle some fantasy element. Lisa felt his head throb once again, turning his head to the window as he caught the sky slowly lightening into a lighter shade of blue.

"I..." he whispered and sighed. "... don't know what to feel."

Hours later...

"Huhuhuhu..."

Lucas scrunched up his nose in dismay, watching his sister-in-law blow her nose. Jennie had been bawling her eyes forever ago, and no matter what he said, she would keep having a breakdown right when he thought she calmed down.

"Why is your brother being so heartless?" Jennie hiccuped as she dramatically pulled another piece of tissue napkin. "How can he not visit his wife even after a few days? If he's angry at me, then he should just come in here and scold me. Why would he have to ignore his wife?"

"Uh..." Lucas sported a complicated look. "Sis, my brother is busy. Things seem crazy outside, considering Mr. Cruel was arrested. And then, Mr. Kim was also hospitalized due to minor injuries. My brother is basically doing everything when he should be resting. I'm sure he couldn't make time because he's just in a hurry to finish everything quickly so he could take care of you!"

Jennie peeked at the man sitting beside her bed. Lucas was still in a hospital gown, but at this point, it looked more like a costume to him. He seemed fine.

"But he visits Jevy..." she muttered, teary-eyed. "How come he wouldn't even drop by to say hi?"

"Are you jealous of Jevy?"

"No!" Jennie hiccuped as she wiped the lingering tears from the corner of her eyes. "I'm just saying he should be fair. I couldn't even visit Jevy, and I miss him so much. Do you know the longing in my heart? And my husband not visiting me just makes it more painful."

Lucas pressed his lips and extended his arm, patting her shoulder mildly. "There, there. Don't cry. I'm sure my brother has a reason. Also, it's not good for the baby if you keep crying."

"The two of us were the ones crying, you know?" Jennie blew her nose once again. "My baby also misses Lisa and Jevy. But we have to stay here because if I have another bleeding, it'll be dangerous for the both of us."

"I'll talk to my brother once I see him." Lucas retrieved his hand and sighed. "Sis, you see, my brother isn't visiting me as well! But I'm not crying!"

Dismay flickered across her eyes as she looked at him. "What made you think he will visit you even if he's not busy?"

"Hey. Not because you're a patient. I will just let you say such hurtful words." Lucas frowned deeply as he patted his chest. "I am a patient too!"

"At least you can walk around." Jennie hiccuped as she cleared her throat, calming her heart and telling herself to stop crying. She relaxed her body on the headboard, looking at Lucas. "Anyway, how are you?"

"Just when I thought you wouldn't ask." Lucas clicked his tongue. "As you can see, I am fine. I'm doing therapy to deal with the trauma. Anyway, sis, are you okay? I think you should get some theray as well, considering what happened."

"The only effective therapy I need right now is your brother's kisses and warm embrace."

"..."

It was pointless. She might be emotional, but she was fine for sure.
