Jisoo clenched his teeth in frustration, cursing in his heart, before he huffed. "I'll get it for you!" and with all the courage he had in this lifetime and the next, Jisoo risked it all to crawl to the front and then down to get the suitcase underneath the front passenger seat. It was awkward and embarrassing with the two other bodyguards holding his body so he couldn't fly out in case the vehicle made an abrupt turn.

"Here —!" Jisoo tossed the suitcase to the overweight man and threw himself back in the back seat. His face was beet red from embarrassment and sweat covered his body. "There you go — hah!"

Fig held the suitcase in delight, looking back at Jisoo with a smile. "Thank you, Mr. Kim. You just saved us all." He chuckled, his body swaying as the vehicle shook, opening the suitcase to see rifle parts placed meticulously.

"Mr. Kim, I didn't know you like guns. This is beautiful!" Fig remarked as he assembled the rifle, and once he finished, he turned his head to the window. Cracks almost filled the window on his side.

"Make a quick turn," he said to the driver, making the latter glance at him. As soon as the driver caught the look plastered on Fig's face, he clenched his teeth and did what he was told.

Screech...

The moment their vehicle turned to his desired angle, Fig rolled down the window with an inch gap. He then raised the rifle that barely fitted the gap, firing shots along with the vehicle's movements.

"Ahh!!" Jisoo covered his ears at the piercing noise inside the vehicle but peeked out the window.

"Go!"

Their vehicle screeched once more as it drove away, with Fig still firing shots. Meanwhile, the fires from outside slowed down until they stopped completely.

Meanwhile...

"DUCK!!!"

"SHIT!!"

"UGH!!!"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Everyone on the third floor of the abandoned building took cover as soon as they heard the first man yell to duck down. However, some of them were not quick enough to take cover. Thus, their untimely deaths.

BANG BANG BANG!

"Shit!" A man ground his teeth, hiding behind the wall beside the window. He glanced around, seeing some of his comrades fall to their death or injured. "Those crazy motherfuckers!"

Dust ascended in the air as the result of the shower of bullets from the riding in tandem. The man clenched his teeth, knowing they shouldn't fall back. If they didn't fight back, they would be at a disadvantage.

"Fvck it!" the man yelled as he took a large step in front of the window to fire back.

BANG!

However, just before the man could pull the trigger, a bullet broke through his gritted teeth, going straight to his throat and the back of his head. He didn't even have the chance to take a breath as darkness consumed him like a deprived beast.

THUD!

The man's body fell on the floor with a loud thud, blood pooling underneath his head. Yet, the continuous fire remained without conditions. Some of his colleagues didn't even bother to save his dead body, retreating or firing back blindly.

Meanwhile...

"Damn it!" Bobby cursed through his gritted teeth, swiftly dodging the bullets as he sped around the area while Bear busily shot fired. "I don't want to die here —"

CLANG!

The motorbike skidded, almost crashing as he dodged another bullet that was coming straight at his head. Fortunately, he skillfully managed to avoid such a threat.

"We're almost there," Bear bravely shot more bullets at the third floor, but was still able to see movements on the second floor and the rooftop. "Once I get there, make sure Fig and Mr. Kim are safe."

"What about your pregnant friend?!"

"She'll be fine." Bear's expression darkened, putting down the small rifle as he lowered his head. "Tiger's with her."

"She's either crazy or stupid — maybe she doesn't like the kid in her stomach!" Bobby commented, lowering his head as he picked up his speed. "You should've stopped her."

'I know. I wanted to,' was what Bear wanted to say. 'But she really took after her mother.'

No one among them wanted Jennie to participate in this rescue operation. She was pregnant, after all, and it was too dangerous for her. However, Bear could understand her reasoning. When Lisa said there were thirty people inside or more, and that this was a mere trap for Lisa, she was certain this would take more time than they expected.

They had to confront the enemies, after all.

She didn't need to go with them if their initial plan of sneaking inside was possible. But alas, enemies who wanted Lisa Manoban's head plagued this place. Jennie and Jevin were simply collateral damage, if anything. No matter how aggravating that term was, that was the truth they all had to face.

'She really reminds me of Elena... they were once in this same situation, but Jane was still in her womb back then.'

"No one else can protect him than her," he muttered, but his voice faded at the sounds of bullets coming at them. "Faster. I'll distract them."

Bear's eyes shone, almost making it appear red. Blood suddenly dripped from his cheek as a bullet grazed him, but it did not faze him. Instead, his determination to go in and lessen the enemies before Jennie and Lisa could reach the building grew solid.

"Almost..." Bobby announced as they closed in, feeling their vehicle shake as Bear stood on the footrest. He ducked down slightly when he felt a large hand on his back, fighting off Bear's weight as the latter prepared to jump to the third floor as if he thought he was Spiderman or some sort.

"Ugh..." Bobby gripped the handlebar tightly, teeth clenched, eyes on the wall they were about to crash in. "Now!"

Screeeeeh!

Bobby drifted, creating thick smoke as he skidded to avoid crashing into the wall. His knee almost touched the ground.

"Ugh..." the motorbike lowered as Bear bent his knees and his weight fell on their vehicle. When Bear took a huge leap, Bobby tilted his body to the other side to get his balance.

Vroom!

Without looking back, Bobby sped away as if he didn't care whether Bear succeeded or not. However, he knew Bear did. That man was a monster, after all.

"Hah..." Bobby let out a deep exhale before a short laugh escaped his mouth. "Well, that was nice. It's been a while since we had done this."

This time, Bobby looked back, only to see Bear hanging on the window from the third floor. The latter's hand was holding on the railing, raising the rifle to shoot at the person standing on the other side.

"What a fucking monster," he murmured, seeing Bear lift himself until he jumped through the window, successfully infiltrating the third floor of the building.

Bobby peeled his gaze from the building and then turned his attention to the incoming cars from the side. As soon as his eyes landed on Tiger, who was sitting in the front passenger window with his feet inside the vehicle and a rifle in his hand, Bobby let out a short and dry laughter.

"There goes the king of the jungle." His brows rose briefly, setting his eyes ahead. "Should I apply as a bodyguard as well? It seemed these guys were having a lot of fun."
