"See, boss? Even your boss agrees with me."
"..."
Mr. Yang looked at Jennie with a little bit of dismay. This cheerful errand girl was surely too comfortable as a newcomer. How could she not shed any trace of nervousness in front of their big boss? She would be digging her own grave if she kept this up. After all, Lisa Manoban was a family man. Although none of them knew the identity of Lisa's wife or what she looked like, flirting with a married man like him wouldn't benefit her.
This was not the fire this naive woman shouldn't play with!
But then again, Mr. Yang threw that thought at the back of his mind. He would lecture this young lady later.
For now...
"Uh, CEO Manoban..." Mr. Yang trailed off as Lisa suddenly took the papers from Jennie's hands.
"Jisoo, pick up the papers she accidentally fell. Everyone in the department is already working hard. It's the least we can do to help everyone."
"What?" Jisoo frowned, snapping out of his trance at the shock he received the second he saw Jennie in here.
"Where should I carry them?" Lisa ignored anything else, eyes on his wife.
"Hehe. Mr. Manoban, please, you don't have to — let me do it!"
"Mr. Yang told me to bring them to his desk." Jennie offered Lisa a big smile, making the latter nod in understanding. "Wait. Let me take you to his desk."
With that being said, Jennie turned on her heel to guide Lisa to where he could take the papers. Getting help was something she wouldn't refuse at this moment. As they walked away, Mr. Yang gasped with his wide eyes on the energetic errand girl.
'That girl!' Mr. Yang clenched his teeth, getting nervous for the newcomer in their department. However, his focus was easily snatched by another director.
"Man... this is the busiest department we visited so far." Mr. Yang turned his head, only to see a young director pick up some papers on the floor.
"Mr. B, you don't have to pick them up!"
"It's okay, Mr. Kim." Bobby grinned at Jisoo, who was also picking up some papers. "You should assist the other directors while I earn my brownie points to the CEO."
Jisoo scrunched up his face while Bobby continued.
"That's not good. You're not playing fair, Mr. B." Eric shook his head, joining them to pick up the papers scattered on the floor. "If picking up these papers would put me in a much better light, then I can't let you take all the credit since we're both new members of the board."
The other board of directors looked at each other before setting them on the other three. Some of them helped out of the goodness of their hearts, while others didn't bother as they continued to inspect the department. They didn't need to compete or prove themselves to Lisa after all.
Lisa already knew they were loyal to him, even if they didn't help him. But then again, why did Lisa help that errand girl?
Some employees in the art department also rushed to help the rest. They couldn't just stand idly by when the higher-ups were cleaning up the errand girl's mess, right? Even the CEO of the company was helping. And just like that, all of them were picking up documents and even some papers that were just loitering around were cleaned up.

"Thanks!" Jennie clapped as Lisa dropped the piles of papers on top of Mr. Yang's desk. "That really helped me a lot. I still have papers on my desk. Can you help me carry them to the other office just right below this floor?"
She placed her palms against each other as if she were praying. She had her eyes shut for a moment, taking a peek at her knight in a fitted suit. The second she did, Lisa already turned around to face her.
"Sure," he said, propping his side against the desk while folding his arm underneath his chest. "But you have to answer my question first. What are you doing here? Playing as an... errand girl?"
"What?" Jennie pouted, scratching her temple with her index. "Well, about that. It's actually just a misunderstanding."
"Misunderstanding?" Lisa's eyes fell on the temporary ID dangling around her neck.
Seeing where his eyes fell, Jennie cleared her throat. "Hey, don't judge too quickly. It's true it was a misunderstanding. I just wore this so I won't fall on my way in returning the woman's things. But Mr. Yang thought I was the newcomer. So, that's how I ended up becoming the sticky note girl."
"..." Lisa just stared at his wife with a dead expression, lips shut into a tight slash.
At this moment, Lisa didn't know if he should laugh or cry at this situation. He couldn't call it Jennie getting into trouble, but it was almost amusing how she could get into this sort of situation, right inside her husband's turf.
"Just come with us," he said after a while. "We're doing a quick inspection of each department. It is also a tour for the new members of the board to get familiar with the building. You can tag along."
"Hehe..."
His brows rose. "You're not coming?"
"Thing is..." Jennie bit her lower lip as she glanced around. "... I still have work to do."
"You don't have any work. You're unemployed."
"Well guess what, Mr. Yang's boss? I now have a job."
Mr. Yang's boss? He wasn't aware this was now a comedy skit.
"As an errand girl?"
Her face turned a little red at how that role sounded from his lips. "So — so what? Are you judging me based on my job now?"
"..." Lisa opened his mouth, only to shut it again. "Didn't you say it was a misunderstanding? We can clear it up without a problem."
"I know, but if you do, then my colleagues will have to do everything on their own."
"They're not your colleagues." Lisa shook his head. "You weren't even hired here. You just stole someone else's job. I can't even fire you even if I want to because I didn't hire you in the first place."
"Right..." Jennie lowered her head, remembering the reality, but still felt a little disheartened about it. "Goodness. Why is my boss's boss so cruel?"
"I'm not your boss."
Jennie looked up at him and then glared at him. Her fiery look caused his brows to rise.
"My love... did you like your job here?" he asked with slight hesitation, only to see her nod. "No wonder."
"Hey, there, lovebirds." Just then, Bobby's voice caressed their ears. They turned their heads to Bobby, watching him carry the loads of papers and drop them on the desk. "The inspection is over. Mr. Manoban, it's not nice to scold the newcomer in your company. People might think the big boss is such a petty person."
Lisa frowned as he wasn't scolding his wife. Did it look like he was scolding her? Lisa glanced at the people outside Mr. Yang's open office, only to see everyone peeking at them as if they were expecting Jennie to cry and flee the office.
