"Hey, Bear," called Mark quietly, peeking over the transparent glass wall of the art department. "Are you sure she's in here?"
"Yes."
"I can't find her. Did she leave?" Mark inquired, making guesses in his mind. "Maybe she went to have snacks or something?"
"No. I just finished reviewing the footage. I'm one hundred percent sure she didn't leave --" Bear suddenly stopped as he turned his head to Tiger, making the latter arch a brow.
"What?"
"Is there another exit in the art department?"
"Why are you asking me?"
"Aren't you the captain?"
Tiger opened his mouth for a comeback, but then his tongue rolled back to his throat. Well, Bear made sense. He was the captain of the security unit. Wasn't that the reason he would usually spend time in the security room and nap as much as he pleased because he got promoted?
"Ahem!" Tiger cleared his throat as he pondered about Bear's question. "Nope. There aren't any other exits in each department, though there were multiple fire exits in case of fire. But they aren't placed inside the office."
"You heard him." Bear didn't entertain Tiger that much, causing the latter's face to stiffen awkwardly. "Just look around. She's surely just around there. I'll go there in a bit."
"Aight."
With that being said, Bear ended the call and immediately placed his phone inside his suit pocket.
"Hey! That's it?" Tiger slammed his hand on the surface, catching the old man's attention. "You won't thank me or praise how reliable of a captain I am?"
Bear couldn't help but let out a shallow breath. Was this the first time Tiger played the leader role? Bear rummaged through his memories in a short time frame, and it didn't take long before he realized this was actually the first time Tiger got such an official role.
Even though Tiger was an underboss in the organization, he was one among the few who didn't have their own team. Bear was also one of those who didn't have a team of their own, as they were already a part of Jane's main team. Despite that, many members of the organization automatically listened to Bear due to his reputation. Tiger, on the other hand, was more or less hated.
'No wonder he got stuck up in this illusion.' Bear let out another shallow breath, staring at the upset Tiger. 'I would cut my arm if my guess is wrong. She's the one who advised Lisa to make him the captain, right?'
"What, old man?" Tiger's irritated voice brought Bear back to the current lapse. "Are you going to apologize?"
"No." Bear slowly rose from his seat, gazing down at Tiger at the height difference. "But I would like to thank the best captain in the world. I wouldn't even find the young madam if not for your help and encouragement."
Tiger's brows rose. "Heh... you're messing with me, are you?"
"No." Bear shook his head, his face carried utter solemness. "I'm being serious. If not for you, I would really have a hard time finding the young madam. I owe this one to you."
As a courtesy, they had grown used to working in the Manoban family, Bear lowered his head to his 'captain.' As he did so, surprise overtook Tiger's face before the corner of his mouth curled up into a smug grin. Tiger was simply trolling Bear; who would have thought Bear would fall for it?
Meanwhile, the other security who were seeing Bear's action couldn't help but frown in dismay. Why was Bear thanking him for? Bear knew for a fact that with or without Tiger, he could access the footage. All he had to do was tell the guys the reason. Bear had always been a respected member of the security unit, after all.
Aside from doing a good job anywhere he would get stationed, Bear would also sometimes treat his colleagues. He was almost like a father to everyone. Therefore, his colleagues wouldn't mind returning the favor so long as it was within their morals and that it wouldn't breach their contract.
So, what was this shameless, newly proclaimed captain was spewing?
Everyone looked at Tiger in dismay, displeased at the sight of Bear bowing at him. They already heard everything that needed to be heard and thus, there was another reason in the already long list of why they dislike Tiger.

'Hmm...'Mark planted the bottom of his hands against the transparent glass wall, moving his face closer to see better through the glass. 'Is Bear sure? I don't see her. All I see are worn-out people who need sleep. It's like a funeral here!'
Mark clicked his tongue as his face twitched a little, sensing the exhaustion from everyone in the department. This was not the first time he got into one of the company's departments, but this was the first time Mark felt sorry for the employees. Other departments didn't look as worn out as they!
He mentally shook his head, telling himself to focus. Mark continued on peeping inside the art department, thinking he probably missed her the first time. Jennie could easily blend in with the crowd, after all. That was part of her skill set.
"Dang... she's not here." Mark lowered from his toes, sighing deeply. But just as he retrieved his hands from the glass wall, he caught multiple figures from the corner of his eyes. Turning his head and seeing the group coming from the other end opposite his vantage point, his face twitched.
"And this is the art department... it's an extension of the department below this floor..." Jisoo, who was leading the board of directors, continuously explained the purpose of the department. As he did so, he caught a figure ahead.
Huh?
Jisoo furrowed his brows, keeping it at a minimum as he continued to speak despite Mark catching half of his attention. Mark bowed politely from the distance, but his eyes and puckered lips were moving to the corner as if signaling Jisoo about something.
"Anyway —" Jisoo cleared his throat as he glanced at Lisa, but the latter didn't react at the sight of Mark or Jisoo's signals.
"The art department seems to be a little busy." Lisa stood by the entrance of the art department, arching a brow as he caught the head of the art department rush to him. However, Lisa simply glanced at the department head before his eyes scanned the room.
'Just... where are you, dear?'
