"Boss, are you insane?" Mark hissed, sitting on the seat across from Jennie in the building's cafeteria. "How can you just go off on your own like that? You could've at least told us what you're up to instead of worrying us like that."
Jennie chewed her bun slowly, gazing at the youthful-looking bodyguard across from her. "Who told you to worry?"
"Hah!" Mark opened his mouth to rebut, but then was too speechless to speak. "Even with this face, you still have these bad habits of the past. I hope you change — like, very soon!"
"I hope your prayers will be heard one of these days."
The corner of his lips curved down, gazing to his side when Bear joined the long bench. "It's still not lunch break for you."
"I'm old and as you grow older, you find your appetite growing." Bear placed down his tray, glancing at the bun Jennie was eating. "Good?"
"Mhm."
"Oy, Bear. Don't act as if you weren't worried just now." Mark scrunched up his face at Bear's hypocrisy. "Scold her like you mean it!"
"I was worried, but now that I know she's alright. There's no point in dwelling on it."
"Wow. Easy for you to say that, huh?"
Bear shrugged nonchalantly as he wiped the cutlery with a tissue. "How's the art department?"
"Well, I got a very nice boss. Although he's already balding, he's quite good. He has a loud mouth, though, but I got to understand the stress level he is in."
"The art department had been lacking in manpower, so that's given." Bear rocked his head. "Your husband found you out?"
"It's not like I was trying to hide. I just ended up in that situation, but it's fine. I like it."
"Don't tell me you plan on continuing this misunderstanding?"
"I don't see the reason I shouldn't."
"What?" Mark frowned. "You want to continue being an errand girl?"
"It's not a heavy task. It's also good for my muscle — it keeps me moving around."
Hearing her indifference in this situation, Mark's face turned grim. He looked up at Jane and for him, she was akin to a goddess. Watching her run errands was a total abomination of the godly image he had for her. It didn't suit her! Even if she only did it for fun, it wasn't a role fitting for the woman who once ruled the underground!
"Though I learned a thing or two in the art department." After a moment, Jennie cleared her throat as she snapped her eyes at Bear. "It's strange that employees in that department quit when my husband started reevaluating everyone. I understand the pressure on everyone, but I can't help but raise an eyebrow when I think about it."
"The art department is like the middle of this building," answered Bear after a long, pondering hum. "It's not close enough to the CEO's office, but it's close enough with everything. If I'm going to plan a mole, the art department is the first place I will think of."
Exactly her thoughts.
Jennie rocked her head. "So, it wasn't just me, huh?"
"CEO Manoban already had his assumptions months ago. But so far, none of those previous employees has left bad records in the company or associated with any corruption within the company," Bear shared what he knew about this matter. "So, we assumed they were only here for the time being as spies."
"Fair enough." Jennie nodded approvingly. "Do you think this No One guy is the one who put them in here?"
"It wouldn't be a surprise if he was the person behind this. After all that had happened, planting spies within the company is already given."
"Hmmm..." this time, Bear and Jennie turned their heads in Mark as the latter hummed loudly while rubbing his chin. "Am I the only person who thinks I heard this name before?"
Bear and Jennie blinked, making Mark raise his brows.
"Come on, guys." Mark sighed helplessly. "For sure, if you think about it, you'd know this name sounds a little familiar."
"If he's familiar, then I would've killed him the first time I saw him," was Jennie's answer in a plain tone. "I don't like familiar people in my line of sight, you know that."
"It's the first time I heard of him. Probably, some small-time hooligan in the past, who got some luck and managed to build a bigger organization." Bear shrugged, sharing what he thought about Primo Rossi. "But for sure, he's not one of the people who directly opposed us before."
"Tch." Mark clicked his tongue in irritation. From the back of his head, he knew he heard this No One alias before. He just didn't remember where, when, and how. But it wouldn't bother him this much if he wasn't forgetting something very important.
"Whatever!" he huffed. "I'll remember it one of these days and I get a feeling you'll thank me by then."
"Before we thank you..." Jennie brought her phone out and tapped on it a few times. "... do me a favor."
DING!
Mark's brows rose as he slipped his hand inside his suit pocket. Taking out his phone, deep lines appeared between his brows upon seeing a message file from Jennie.
"While running errands in the art department, I installed something on my computer," she explained, watching Mark raise his head to him. "Connect it to every system in the company. You can easily do that, can you?"
"Huh?" Mark blinked back to his phone, checking the file before looking back at her again. "Boss, I thought you were just going to run errands?"
"Running errands is fun, but my priorities don't change." The side of her lips stretched from ear to ear until her eyes were squinting. "I mean... how can I catch the mice if I stay inside the safety of our home, right?"
"Moreover, I don't want to make our house a battlefield." She slowly cupped her face, eyelids drooping. "They said there wasn't a huge corruption within the LYON Group... I guess they'll have to anticipate the first and the biggest scandal this company would ever face."
Mark frowned, sensing this dread creep up his spine after seeing the slight smirk on her face. He glanced at Bear, but the latter didn't react much, as if he already anticipated this.
'Are we really... going to steal from her husband?' he wondered, checking the file she sent him. 'But why?'
