[CITY POLICE HEADQUARTERS: INTERROGATION ROOM]
"Where are the children?!"
The detective interrogating the suspect of kidnapping Jevin and Riley slammed the table angrily. But alas, the suspect kept a tight lip. They already tried different approaches, but this felon would either keep a tight lip or say nonsense.
Lisa watched everything from the observation room. His arms were folded under his chest, his expression dark, and his patience running thin. Everyone was already making plans, and the investigation was in motion. He was simply here while waiting for any useful reports from the investigation team.
"Sir," Jisoo spoke quietly as he stepped inside the observation room. "The General already raised the problem to the Central Intelligence. He said he will reach out soon. Mr. Cruel already joined the investigation. He also said he will call once he finds any lead."
Lisa didn't react, keeping his eyes on the two people in the interrogation room. "That tattoo... chief, do you know what gang did he come from?"
"Red Scorpions." The chief of police, who had been with Lisa since the man came, set his eyes on the tattoo on the felon's neck. "We already ran a background check on him. He's a part of a gang that is usually involved in drug dealings. He is most likely a foot soldier."
"I see..." Lisa rocked his head, tapping his finger on his biceps. "I don't think he has any plans to talk."
"He will talk soon," the chief of police reassured. "These types of people usually stall time, but they will eventually break once they stay longer in that room."
"Stay longer..." Lisa slowly cast the chief of police a look. "Are you saying I have to wait for progress until this man talks?"
"Mr. Manoban, the investigation team —"
"The investigation team still has no progress even after six hours since the abduction happened. I already raised this emergency to your higher-ups, thinking that might give you enough motivation. However, the only thing I got from you is empty words, chief."
"Mr. Manoban..."
"This incident happened under your jurisdiction. One of my people is fighting for her life just for us to start with something, and even with that, there's still no progress." Lisa slowly turned on his heel, facing the chief of police squarely. "I am losing hope in this department, Chief. I can't imagine just how dreadful it is for those who had no means but to reach out to this government agency for help."
The chief of police opened his mouth, only to shut it again. Displeasure turned up on his face, displeased at Lisa's harsh remarks. However, he couldn't do anything but exercise maximum tolerance. Lisa's son was kidnapped and as a parent, Lisa had no patience or understanding to spare.
"As long as you don't interfere with me..." Lisa peeled his sharp gaze from the chief of police back to the interrogation room. "... you will keep your position, chief."
Jisoo pressed his lips into a thin line, glancing at the chief of police and then some officers inside. They all had terrible looks on their faces, making Jisoo sigh heavily.
'My boss hates abusing his power...'Jisoo shifted his attention to Lisa. '... but the little master's life is on the line. Even though more people were moving to locate the little master's whereabouts, every second is crucial.'
BOING.
Jisoo's brows rose as he heard a weird noise coming from Lisa. 'What's that?' he wondered as Lisa focused on his phone.
