"I'll go here," Jennie announced as she gazed at the window, seeing that the main entrance of the LYON Group building was in sight. "I don't want to get stuck in the traffic."
"But it's more efficient if you take the same route as your husband."
"Nope!" She shook her head mildly, lips pressed into a thin smile. "Lisa will be very busy, so I'm sure I'll just wait for him until he finishes. It's better if I can walk around and tour the building."
Bear had his head looking back at the back seat, assessing the widening smile on her face. A shallow breath slipped past his lips.
"I'll tag along then," he said, but Jennie waved dismissively.
"I don't want to garner attention by being accompanied by you," Jennie let out a chuckle, glancing at the window again. "Stop. I'm going out."
Mark instinctively slowed down in front of the company's driveway, stopping in front of the building's entrance. The second he did, he glanced at the rear mirror. Jennie already opened the door and hitched outside, closing the door with a bang.
"Uhh..." Mark blinked, shifting his eyes to the passenger seat window. "Did she say she didn't want to garner attention? Did she forget she is still a celebrity? The last film she took part in was a blockbuster and it's still trending on the internet."
Bear also had his head turned in his side of the window. "She always forgets about that fact."
A deep sigh slipped past their nostrils, looking at the entrance she went to with worry. However, Bear didn't follow her, since she wanted to go alone.
"Well, she's already a big girl." Mark shrugged as he stepped on the pedal, heading straight to the building's parking space. "She knows the CEO's office, right?"
"I... don't know."
"Huh?" Mark glanced at the front passenger seat. "What do you mean?"
"You heard her previously. Strange as it is, this is actually her first time going into the LYON Group's headquarters."
"..." Mark blinked, speechless. "Seriously?"
Bear rocked his head. "But she's Jane, so I'm sure she will get around the building perfectly fine."
"Well." Mark shrugged. "We'll see about that."
The two sighed once again, shaking their heads as they headed to the route they would usually take. Surely, sometimes, their boss wouldn't fail to worry them. Be it then or now, she had this knack of worrying the people under her command. Not that they were worried she would be put in harm or that her life would be in danger, but rather, she always had this habit of ending up in bad situations.
It was probably different this time, right?
What could possibly go wrong with her in her husband's company?

"Uhh..." Jennie blinked as her lips parted but no words came out. 'How did I end up here?'
She tilted her head to the side, baffled at what had happened to her. When she came into the building, Jennie went straight to the reception. However, even before she could say anything, the person at the reception told her which floor she should go to. Out of curiosity, Jennie followed the employee's instructions.
At first, she thought Lisa had already left a memo that if ever she came to the company, they would give her access to him. But now, she realized she was wrong.
"Gosh..." she murmured, gazing down at her outfit. "Did they mistake me as a new employee?"
Donning a plain smart casual, her face twitched as she didn't think her attire would be the cause of this misunderstanding. When she gazed up, the group around the same room was also wearing smart casuals, which also had the same color palette as hers. They were all sitting inside this wide room, listening to the speaker in the front.
"The LYON Group specializes in..."
Jennie only listened for a while, realizing this was actually a program the LYON Group opened just recently. Since many things happened in the company, the company was looking for eligible candidates to be a part of their family. This group Jennie got into were all fresh graduates in business management, enthusiastic to be a part of the biggest company in the country.
'I don't know if this is correct,' she thought, looking around at the fresh graduates competing for a position in this company. 'But how come I am here?'
Jennie scratched her temple, wondering if this had something to do with the terrible security. But then again, everyone here wasn't hired yet. This program was meant to encourage everyone to do their best in their official job interview. The speaker was brainwashing everyone, making them believe the LYON Group was the best option they could ever wish for.
'But then again, even if I am like them, I will also think LYON Group is also the best.' Jennie lowered her head as she slipped away from her chair. 'This is not what I came for.'
Taking advantage of the time the speaker had his back turned, Jennie tiptoed her way out. She already had a glimpse of the hiring process, and that was good enough for her. She didn't want to waste more time on it.
When Jennie managed to escape the room, she let out a deep exhale. Her back was still against the door, shaking her head.
"That a weird turn of events," she mumbled, but not blaming the receptionist. "The company is really busy, after all."
Jennie didn't dwell on this misunderstanding, noticing that everyone was acting as if they were running out of time. Considering the fierce competition in the work environment, people didn't like wasting time.
"Well." She smacked her lips, taking a step away to walk around the building. "Doesn't matter."
The corner of her lips stretched from ear to ear, skipping her steps as she went on to tour the building. She got her phone with her, so she could easily just call her husband if she didn't find him in time. With that thought in mind, Jennie happily explored the company for the first time.
