Yunxiu and Yunxi lived together, so it would not be an exaggeration to say they understood each other well.

Once Yunxiu began to investigate carefully, she quickly discovered something was off.

First, she found a pair of high-quality jade bracelets in Yunxi's cabinet. When questioned, Yunxi hesitantly claimed they were purchased with her own savings, intended as a future dowry.

However, Yunxiu immediately saw through her lie. As a fellow maid of Yi Xiuyuan, how much money could she possibly save?

It was simply not enough to buy such a pair of bracelets.

Yunxiu didn't expose Yunxi yet; she wanted to see who was behind her actions.

That same night, after discovering the bracelets, Yunxi indeed sneaked out.

To avoid alarming anyone, Yunxiu followed her from a distance. Although she couldn't see the person Yunxi met clearly, as soon as Yunxi returned, she immediately captured the person and brought them before Yi Xiuyuan.

Yi Xiuyuan was furious. If it weren't for Yunxiu holding her back, she would have loved to stab Yunxi to death.

After all these years of friendship, it turned out she had raised a backstabber.

They interrogated the person all night, and the next morning, Yi Xiuyuan took them to Jiuxian Palace.

Coincidentally, it was Ye Yun's turn to serve the Emperor last night, and Yi Xiuyuan arrived just as Ning Chen was leaving the court, so Ye Yun hadn't left yet.

As soon as she entered the palace and saw the cowering Yunxi following Yi Xiuyuan, Ye Yun understood.

Well, it seemed she had arrived just in time.

"Your Majesty, I have an important matter to report, concerning both the imperial heir and my own reputation. I truly cannot hide it any longer."

After steadying herself, Yi Xiuyuan began to speak.

Ning Chen furrowed his brow, glancing first at Ye Yun sitting beside him. In the end, he didn't say anything and instead waved his hand at Yi Xiuyuan. "Go ahead..."

Yi Xiuyuan took a deep breath, her expression becoming serious.

"Su Jieyu's personal maid, Baicao, has repeatedly taken Kuncao from Yunxi, the senior maid beside me. This Kuncao is a blood-activating medicine, and I have been having irregular menstrual cycles lately; this ingredient happens to be in the medicine I've been taking.

But Su Jieyu is pregnant and must not come into contact with this substance. I do not know if someone is trying to use this matter against the imperial heir."

At this point, Ning Chen's gaze had already turned cold.

"Conspiring to harm the imperial heir is a death sentence. Yi Xiuyuan, can you determine if there are any clues? Where are those two maids?"

"I have always strictly followed palace rules and would not dare to overstep in any regard. I have no ill intentions toward Su Jieyu's unborn child. However, one cannot prevent others from trying to frame me. I have brought the servant involved; let the Emperor handle it as you see fit."

Yi Xiuyuan respectfully bowed, then signaled to the people behind her. Yunxiu understood and gently pushed the person beside her.

At that moment, Yunxi was extremely nervous. Her face turned pale, and she suddenly fell to her knees.

"Your Majesty, please spare me! I had no idea what Kuncao was for! Yes, it was Baicao, Su Jieyu's personal maid, who asked me for it. She gave me a pair of jade bracelets, and I was momentarily blinded by greed!"
