Aurora
The sight in front of me filled me with nostalgia when realizing that we were doing another parkour. There were even the same rings to swing that we had used in the first training together as the 'mini special force'. The 'death swings' Ronan had once called them but all I could think now was that he was so full of shit he had probably only said that to make us pee our pants.
But now I felt less scared of breaking a bone or two because I knew that the healers could patch me back up quite well. They must've known me well by now but the relationship was one sided as I had never freaking been conscious when I had been 'delivered' to them.
Right, except for when Ronan and I had gone there to get my broken arm mended and of course the burned skin. They had recognized me and I had clearly seen the look of confusion and suspicion on them. Too bad.The parkour looked as hard as ever, in an exact Ronan-manner, but who cares after everything that has happened?
There was even a sensation of thrill filling my body. I had gone absolutely crazy.
"If the last ones of you have finally arrived" Ronan' voice boomed across the hall. For once, he didn't mean me because I was already standing very close to him. Maybe suspiciously close. For good measure I took a few steps back, wondering how I had even gotten this close to him AGAIN.
"The parkour should be self explanatory by now. Do what you have to do. I don't care if you get to the other side" he spoke and I had to hide a smile in the sleeve of my uniform.
Right behind his facade was the exact opposite of who his words made him out to be. He cared about everyone here but because I now knew more about him I could understand why he wouldn't let that show.People would take advantage of him and that was the truth in this world even if I would've loved to tell him differently. But those words would've been empty.
Pretending to wipe some dirt from my face with my sleeve I turned back towards the parkour.
A wall, a net that connected to a rope and a thin platform to land. And lastly the 'death swings' that didn't seem too bad anymore. There were two starting points right next to each other and I couldn't shake the thought that he was trying to create some competition.
At Ronan's signal the first pair started, which were none other than Maddox and Camden. They chased through the parkour as if they needed to prove something to each other which probably was true since they both identified as alpha males when they were in fact only arrogant pricks.
I pulled away from their sight, looking around to see who would be my opponent. I was standing right at the end of my line on the left with Lilac but I couldn't tell exactly who was the last on the other line. Probably Nessa so I didn't feel too concerned right now. Hopefully she wouldn't want to make this a competition which was great since I wasn't really the competitive type.
