Chapter 68: Rumble in the jungle - part 3.

3rd POV: With grundy taking a swim in the ocean and kawgirl being knocked out by Marvel's god of thunder, who was now assisting the hulk and fighting doomsday, the regime was at a further disadvantage but they were giving as good they could get despite the loss of their teammates.

But so was their opposition.

(Chun Li vs. Catwoman)

Chun Li gave chase Selina Kyle. The interpol agent had teamed up with ryu to take on the man that broke the bat and the on and off love interest of batman. At some point during the battle, catwoman broke away from the luchador and dashed into the forest with chun li giving chase, trusting ryu to handle bane on his own.

As the woman gave chase to the cat thief, she was able to catch glimpses of her allies having their own battles against the members of the regime, such as Trish and psylocke fighting against Raven, Dante and morrigan knocking cyborg down effortlessly and splitting up with the son of sparda facing off against flash and morrigan assisting Trish and the telepath.

Chun Li could also hear the growls and yells from far away and glanced at the direction they came from, feeling the slight vibrations in the ground and lightning shooting all over the place, making her know that the Hulk and thor were still fighting doomsday whereas on her other side, she could see black panther and kitana facing aquaman whilst both scarlet spiders were fighting against killer frost.

Up in the air was a whole other battle with Captain Marvel facing yellow lantern, raiden battling shazam, Storm fighting black adam, and Grail taking care of Sinestro.

Suddenly, her instincts, honed by various dangerous assignments she took on and battles she got into, kicked in, and the interpol agent jumped away as catwoman lunged from the shadows and tried to slash chun Li where she originally stood but failed in doing so.

The interpol agent cartwheeled away from the cat thief and got ready to fight.

"I dont suppose I can ask you to be a good little girl and stay out of the way?" Selina asked as she stood up, her hands outstretched to show off her claws that slightly shone in the sunlight.

"I should be the one asking you that, though instead of staying out of the way, you'll be staying down." The female fighter retorted with a frown on her face the soon morphed into one of determination as she got into her signature fighting stance. "And I'm not asking."

"How cute." Catwoman sarcastically cooed before she lunged once more at chun Li, planning to strike her down quick and easy. The interpol agent was prepared and sidestepped, ducked, dodged, and blocked the attacks aimed at her person.

Chun Li backed up to give herself some space, but selina was relentless and sheathed her claws and grabbed the whip at her waist, and swung it around before trying to attack the interpol agent with it.

Chun Li ducked the first swipe before sidestepping the other and then raising her arm and allowing the whip to make contact with the appendage. The female street fighter flinched at the stinging sensation but powered through as the whip wrapped around her arm, just as she wanted.

The agent from interpol quickly yanked the arm that had the whip around it, which caused the cat thief of Gotham to stumble forward. Chun li met selina halfway and kicked Catwoman in the stomach, knocking the air out of her and dropping her whip. The street fighter then followed with a backhand to selina's face and kept the momentum going by spinning around and performing a roundhouse kick, knocking catwoman off of her feet and into the air in a spin.
