Chapter 66: Rumble in the Jungle - part 1.

3rd POV: The battle between the members of the regime and the Spiderman's allies was in full swing. The regime wants to bring Spiderman and his group in with the others, trying to fight the opposing team off and get spidey away from the regime to recover.

Only one team was getting their way.

(Wonder Woman vs. Grail)

Diana of thymescera recoiled after a devastating blow to her stomach, knocked the air out of her lungs, and sent crashing into multiple trees before righting herself and stabbing her sword into the ground to stop her momentum and then quickly rolled to the side to avoid another punch from the daughter of darkseid.

Wonder Woman raised her sword in the air and, with a battle cry, swung it down at Grail, who brought her hands up and grabbed the amazon's arms to stop the sword mid swing. Diana retaliated by kicking the daughter of apokalips away and grabbed her lasso of truth, and swung it around before wrapping it around Grail's legs and dragging her back to her and raising his leg up, planning to stomp on her.

Grail grabbed the offending boot and stopped it in its place. The daughter of darkseid followed up by punching the back of the amazon's knee, making Wonder Woman drop down to kneeling position, which allowed Grail to then push the daughter of Hyppolita off of her and unwrap the lasso from her legs and quickly got up the same time that Diana did.

Diana tried to swing her sword again, but Grail was able to disarm her, and the 2 resorted to hand to hand combat. Both fought valiantly, and neither was gaining the upper hand in the battle. Thinking quickly, Grail faked an attack and spun around the amazon princess and wrapped the lasso that was still in her hands, around Diana's neck and kicked the back of her knee of again and pulled hard on the lasso. Diana began to choke as she grasped at the lasso, trying to pull it away from her throat to no avail.

"Pathetic Diana." Grail spat. "But I suppose that is to be expected, considering how you lower yourself to be such a loyal servant to the kryptonian." The daughter of darkseid leaned a bit closer and whispered in the amazon's ear. "I must ask though, when Superman lost his wife to his own hand, wete you secretly happy? Did you feel some sort of satisfaction that no one was in the way and that you could claim him for your own?" She asked before chuckling at the seething look she received. "Oh, princess Diana, you would make a fine loyal servant to my father!"

(Omniverses)

Diana and clark (JLU ans YJ) couldn't look at each other after what Grail insinuated (though judging by injustice Wonder Woman's reactions go what grail said, it seemed more fact than fiction). Superman (JLU) frowned at the mention of darkseid. The kryptonian hated the god of apokalips, and he still does. Looking at Grail, he couldn't help but wonder if this supposed loyal servant to darkseid was in some way related to the man before shaking the thought away.

There's no way that someone like darkseid could have children. He didn't seem the type.

(Injustice world)

Diana growled and smashed the back of her head into Grail's face, making the half amazon recoil. Wonder Woman took advantage of this and stood and elbowed the side of the daughter of apokalips' face, making her lose her grip on the lasso and allowing the daughter of thymescera to grab the lasso from Grail and unwrap it from her throat.

"I will enjoy killing you." Diana gasped out as she rubbed at her throat and glared at Grail.

"Not if I kill you first." Grail retorted as she tilted her head to both sides to release the tension from it. "May the best Amazon win!"

"I intend to." Wonder woman growled before the 2 clashed once more.

(Kitana vs. Nightwing)

The princess of Outworld was clashing with nightwing whilst psylocke held her own against the man who broke the bat.
