❝ I think she was terrified that she did❞

-Angella's POV-

I stood in front mirror, barely breathing. The black dress clung to me like second skin, its hem grazing just beneath the curve of my ass. The sheer, dotted sleeves added something elegant, almost innocent. A contradiction to the way the neckline dipped, revealing just enough collarbone to make me seem untouchable, yet inviting.

My hair was sleek, glossy and straight, parted in the center like the night itself. Mauve lipstick painted my mouth into something too kissable.

A real date with Sebastian was something i wasn't ready for.. or was i?

Staring at the reflection i whispered, "Don't fall apart."

A knock at the door "Ready when you are, gorgeous."

When i descended the staircase, Sebastian was already waiting by the door and turned.

And i stopped breathing.

His black shirt clung to his chest, a few buttons undone just enough to give a glimpse of sun-kissed skin and the silver ring he always wore. His sleeves rolled to the forearms, tattoo's visible. Black-gray trousers that fit him like sin. Shoes shined, but not in a showy way.

He grinned slow, eyes trailing from my legs up to where my mouth was.

"You're trying to kill me," he said simply.

"You're not exactly innocent," i replied, eyes dropping to the undone buttons.

"I only need one button," he teased, stepping closer. "To pull the whole thing apart."

I scoffed. "Behave."

"Never."

He apparated us into a secluded alley tucked behind a tall wall. The narrow passage was dim, illuminated only by a faint light hanging just above us.

"Where are we going?" I asked, my voice filled with curiosity.

"Somewhere you've never been, if your brother is to be believed," he replied.

He took my hand and led me through the shadows toward the glow of the nearby street. The sounds of chatter and murmured conversations grew louder with every step. As we emerged, I glanced up at the street sign affixed to a pole 'Calle Príncipe de Viana'and suddenly, I knew exactly where we were.

"You're taking me to the theater, Sallow?" I asked, a surprised smile spreading across my face.

He looked down at me and grinned. "Why so surprised? You know I love reading novels."

I glanced at my outfit, a hint of self-consciousness creeping in. "If I'd known we were going somewhere this formal, I would've worn a different dress."

"I disagree. You couldn't look more beautiful," he said warmly. "Come on, I reserved the best seats in the house." With that, he guided me inside.

The venue was dimly lit, golden chandeliers hanging like stars frozen mid-drip. The red velvet seats cradled us in shadows, warm and rich. The theater was quiet, the red curtains swept open with a slow, dramatic groan. The stage came to life with flickering torchlight, shadows cast against the stone-like set that evoked a crumbling castle wall.

while the historical play unfolded onstage a set in a war-torn past, I couldn't focus.

Not with Sebastian's hand resting on the armchair between us.
