❝You need someone who will love and care for you with a full heart, not one weighed down by regret❞

Both Ominis and Marvolo stepped in front of me, each taking one of my hands. Without a word, they guided me forward, their grip firm yet gentle. I followed between them like a child trailing after her mother, curious, hesitant, but safe.
This time, the hallway wasn't dark and ominous. Instead, it radiated with breathtaking beauty. Soft, glowing lights floated midair like enchanted fireflies, casting warmth in every direction. At the end, towering windows revealed what looked like an indoor garden bathed in golden light.
"Welcome to the Gaunts' summer house," Ominis said, smiling as he waved his wand. The windows shimmered, transforming into two grand doors that slowly swung open. The moment we stepped through, I was enveloped in brilliant morning sunlight that momentarily blinded me.
As my vision cleared, I found myself standing in what could only be described as a living dream. A lush, garden-like yard stretched before me, vibrant flowers painting the ground in every color imaginable. Small ponds dotted the area, each brimming with fish gliding through crystal-clear water. Sakura and apple trees stood tall, their blossoms rustling gently in the breeze, while birds chirped happily from above. Rabbits peeked out from hollow logs nestled among patches of mushrooms. One pond flowed into a delicate waterfall, its gentle stream cascading like silk. Fireflies, butterflies, and dragonflies flitted through the air, weaving magic into every breath of the scene.
"Slap me... I must be dreaming," I whispered in awe. A family so dark, cruel, and feared, how could they possess something so... enchanting? It was a haven for wonder, seemingly made for tiny, innocent creatures.
A sudden smack snapped me out of my reverie. I spun around, ready to unleash fury. "Why'd you do that?" I snapped.
Marvolo stood there grinning. "You told me to slap you," he teased.
"I was being sarcastic," I muttered, a reluctant laugh slipping from me.
Kicking off my slippers, I stepped barefoot into the grass, sighing with delight. "I can't believe this place..." I murmured, brushing my fingers through the waterfall and dipping my toes into the pond. I stroked a soft bunny curled near a tree and plucked an apple from a branch, taking a bite as I twirled in the grass, smiling like a child discovering magic for the first time.
"Why didn't you show me this sooner?" I called out, skipping toward them.
"Knew she'd love it," Ominis chuckled, exchanging a knowing glance with Marvolo.
"It used to be my father's," Marvolo explained, watching me. "It was sealed, only used for family gatherings. For over a year, I've been asking to buy it, to make it my own. He finally agreed... on one condition, I had to be engaged. The morning after we signed the contract, I spoke to him again. He adjusted the will, handed me the keys."
My heart skipped.
"So... this is your house now?"
"Not his anymore," Ominis said with a dangerous smirk.
Marvolo stepped closer, taking both my hands and meeting my gaze. "It's ours, baby."
"But... I'm not married to you," I said, frowning, glancing from him to Ominis and back again.
"I'm giving it to you as an early engagement present." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a key, placing it in my hand.
"Are you really that rich?" I asked, stunned. It was a question I'd never dared ask before.
