❝ I could, kill you with a twitch of my fingers, Gaunt❞

~Marvolo's POV~
I sat at the dining table, jotting down notes in my journal as I waited for Angella to join us for breakfast. Across from me, Ominis was quietly absorbed in a braille book on tailoring and measurements. We were already abuzz with excitement, this secret wedding was inevitable, and the planning had begun.
After I threw her into the pond, walking away became impossible. I wanted her, badly.. especially after she said yes. Yes to the marriage. Yes to me. Yes to us.
But she needed time to wash off the remnants of him. She still carried Sebastian's scent, and I couldn't bear the thought of being with her while traces of my enemy lingered on her skin.
Then came the soft sound of footsteps in the hallway, she was approaching. I quickly slipped the book I had been writing in under the dining chair beside me. The surprise I was working on for the wedding had to stay a secret, at least for now. I was sure she'd love it.
Angella, my fiancée, the word alone thrilled me.
She wore the white jumpsuit I had picked out for her and hung in our shared closet. The strapless top clung gently to her frame, cinched at the waist and flaring out into elegant pants. Her hair was neatly gathered into a low ponytail, and she wore no makeup. The fabric was light enough that I could see her black undergarments underneath, a strapless bra and a thong.
"Hello, boys," she said, flashing a half-smile. She looked like a woman who could kill you with love, or something sharper, and I adored her for it.
"You cleaned up well," I teased as she passed by.
She stopped and leaned over me, holding her head just inches from mine, silently inviting me to take in the scent of her hair. "You like it?" she asked. It was the shampoo I'd chosen, warm notes of patchouli and sandalwood. And it smelled perfect on her.
''It's delicous'' i hummed in approval.
She took a seat beside Ominis, across from me. Curious, she leaned over to glance at his book, but to her, the braille looked like an endless maze of unreadable dots. Lifting the cover slightly, she asked, "Tailoring?"
Ominis nodded. "You know I have a certain flair for fashion."
"Planning to make your own clothes?" she teased, reaching for a croissant from the basket.
Ominis closed his book, folding his hands neatly on the table. "To be precise, your wedding dress. That is, if you'll allow me?"
She choked slightly on a bit of croissant, snorting as she laughed. "You? Ominis Gaunt? You want to make my wedding dress?"
"Don't sound so surprised. You know my craftsmanship is unmatched. Remember the corset I stitched back together for you?" He gave her a knowing, sidelong glance.
"You're right, mister. Alright, you can make my wedding dress," she agreed with a grin. Then added with mock warning, "But don't you dare give me anything ugly!"
Ominis smirked and began jotting notes in his book with his wand, asking her all sorts of questions like tailoring sizes, favorite colors, preferred fabrics, animals, allergies, and more.
Of course, I already knew the design he was working on; I'd drawn the sketch myself. The first thing that came to mind when I thought of her: a breathtaking, fire-blazing gown. And it had to stay a surprise until the wedding day.
