❝Because he thinks I'm becoming more like my brother.❞

"What the hell was that in there?" Ominis blurted from beside us.
"Nothing," Sebastian and I responded in unison as we made our way down the stairs toward the Great Hall.
"It didn't seem like nothing. What are you two keeping from me?" he pressed.
I ignored him, turning the corner toward another set of stairs.
"Ella, you wanted to break down the professor's office... Do you realize you could have been expelled for that?" Ominis continued with a heavy sigh.
"I know..." I murmured.
"And you, Sebastian... You speak fluent Spanish? I had no idea. You even managed to keep our girl in check with that commanding tone of yours. Even I was a little frightened," he chuckled.
"I know..." Sebastian murmured as well.
"And how did you know about the memory in the Pensieve, Sebastian? Or how to extract a memory in the first place? And Angella, how did you know what to do?"
"Ominis, stop it!" Sebastian growled.
"They don't teach those kinds of things in class!" There was a slight edge to Ominis's voice.
He came to a halt in front of us, blocking our path to the Great Hall. "Don't leave me out, guys. Just tell me how you knew. I'm always the last one to find out about things!"
I placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, Ominis. Sebastian handled it for both of us. All you need to know is that you're not serving detention tonight."
"Yes, but you are!" Ominis screeched behind me as I stepped inside to find my seat.
"Nothing I'm concerned about!" I called back over my shoulder before sitting down next to Imelda and Anne at the Slytherin table.
As I filled my plate with food, I half-listened to Imelda whining about her secret date with Lewis last week. But my mind kept drifting back to my last exchange with Sebastian.

—What happened before—
As Professor Weasley took the vial to place it in the Pensieve, Sebastian leaned in close, his eyes darkening as he glanced between Ominis and me. "No digas una palabra sobre lo que hicimos, (don't say a word about what we did)" he muttered, low enough that the professor wouldn't hear.
I held my gaze firm, irritated by his authoritative tone. "¡No me digas qué hacer! (don't tell me what to do!)"
"Joder, eres tan terco, (fuck you're so stubborn)" he growled.
"Te encanta, guapo, (you love it handsome)" I shot back, pressing a teasing kiss into the air between us.
A small grin played on his lips as he whispered in my ear, "You better behave, or I might do something you'll regret. Perhaps I'll tell Professor Weasley about your arrangement with the Gaunts."
"You wouldn't," I hissed immediately.
"Oh, watch me, sweetheart. I don't care if it makes you mad. I'll do whatever it takes to put an end to that ridiculous deal." His fingers trailed behind my ear, down my neck, toward my collarbone.
A sharp breath escaped me.
"Vete a la mierda, (fuck off)" I scowled, attempting to shove him back.
"As you wish." He pushed himself away, his smirk widening at my reaction.
