Jungkook stood up from his desk, he looked around only to realise that everyone had actually gone home and he was the last one left.
He stretched as he walked away from his desk, it was 8pm.
He had not seen Taehyung or his cousin for the rest of that day, it was probably for the best he figured. He started packing up, while he called his dad to let his know he was on his way.
"Is everything alright?" Joon asked
"Yes, I am just a bit tired, it's been quite a day" he replied. "I am gonna head out now, I will see you guys in a bit"
Jungkook got all of his things and headed for the elevator, part of him was hoping he would bump into Taehyung
"And then what? what will you say?" he asked himself in frustration. He let out a breath of annoyance.
To his luck, and somewhat dissatisfaction he did not bump into Taehyung, the lobby was practically empty with only a few people heading home.
About half an hour later, he was home.
"I am tired, I need a shower and a bed" he said as he walked in, "have you eaten?" Jin asked, "no, but I don't really feel hungry" Jungkook said as he put his bag away, "no, you are going to eat, go wash up" Jin said as he walked to the kitchen.

The following day, Jungkook did not have work, but he had classes from 11am.
It felt like his life was going back to "normal", even with their limited interactions, Taehyung being around made him feel like he had gone "off course" from his normal life. But now that he was gone, it should all go back to normal.
He got Haneul ready for day care, he still had some errands to run in preparation of his upcoming make up event.
The drive to the day care was very cheerful as him and Haneul kept playing in the back seat.
"I will see you later princess" he said as he gave her lots of kisses by the entrance gate.
As he got to school, the last person Jungkook expected to bump into was Baekhyung, who waved at him from where he stood.
"Hi" Baekhyung greeted him
"Hi, how are you? " Jungkook replied.
"I am good, thank you, how are you doing?"
Jungkook had asked to reschedule the meet up when he returned from his trip, he didn't feel up for it and didn't want to end up being bad company.
"I am good, actually there's an event this evening for the department, down town, I was actually planning on texting you to see if you can make it" Baekhyung asked
"Uhm, yeah sure, what time is it?"
"It's from seven in the evening, I will text you the details" Baekhyung said.
Baekhyung offered to walk Jungkook to his class since he was done for the day, they chatted a little bit as they walked.
For the rest of the day, Jungkook had a lot to do, besides his classes he had to keep preparing for the upcoming event. There were other students he was also working with.
The event was going to be later that weekend on a Saturday, it was a two and a half hour drive from Seoul. Jungkook barely drives, he simply would rather not since sometimes he gets a very unsettling feeling when he drives in the rain.
But this time he insisted on driving himself, he wanted some time to think and just empty his mind. And he had to convince his parents that just because he doesn't drive often that doesn't mean he is a bad driver.
Time seemed to race by fast when you are busy, perhaps it was because he was occupied with something he really enjoyed. The other people in his group left about two hours ago, but the perfectionist in him would not let him leave before he was pleased with his work.
By the time he checked his watch, it was six pm and he had completed the tasks he had. He packed up his stuff and headed home.He figured he needs to at least take a shower before heading out.
Baekhyung had texted him earlier that it was a casual gathering, so he should just wear something comfortable. But that didn't really stop Jungkook from stressing about what to wear.
He doesn't do a lot of socialising at his school, but he told himself it wouldn't to accept an invite after having refused so many. And since this was for the department, that meant he will meet a lot of people that he has worked with or will work with in the future and besides Baekhyung was a nice person and seemed like he would make a nice friend.
He was running late, it was ten minutes to seven and he was just getting on the bus.

He stood by the door, stretching his head out hoping to see Baekhyung, the place was getting packed with each person that walked through the door.
He arrived fifteen minutes past seven, but that didn't seem to be a problem since people were still arriving.
He gave up trying to find Baekhyung and found a seat instead. Less than ten minutes later, someone began to speak on the loud speaker. Jungkook recognised the voice as he turned to look where it was coming from.
"Good evening, thank you all for coming out tonight, I know a lot of you have so much going on, especially those with the upcoming event this weekend. But tonight we wanted to thank you all for your help and support with the last two event that we held, we have prepared gifts for you" he said motioning his hand to a table that was packed with gift bags labelled "KIM GLOBAL" .
"Please have fun, but not too much fun" everybody laughed at the comment. "Enjoy yourselves, and do not worry, none of your bosses and lectures will stick around and that also means I will be heading out" Everyone clapped.
Somebody else got the mic and started to speak, but Jungkook was no longer paying attention. He turned his focus to his phone when he noticed Jimin walking in his direction.
"o my goodness, what does he want?" he thought to himself. He tried so hard to look like he was busy on his phone and by the time Jimin made it to his table he had accidentally opened the calculator app.
In a moment of panic, he just just turned his phone off and the moment he looked up, Jimin was in front of him.
"Hi" Jimin said
"H-Hello" Jungkook answered, uncertain of why they were having this interaction.
Jimin wanted to apologise on Taehyung's behalf, but he wasn't quite certain how to start. What was he going to say exactly? "sorry my cousin left the country without telling you and I have no idea when and if he will return?"
"I wanted to wish you luck on your upcoming exhibition" Jimin said
"O, thank you" Jungkook replied, feeling even more confused,
"Okay, I will let you enjoy the evening" Jimin said with a small smile
"O, thank you, have a great evening as well" Jungkook replied.
Jimin headed out and Jungkook was left confused by their brief interaction. It's not as if they were friendly enough for him to be somewhat casual with him, but perhaps he was only nice to him because he was his boss. Jungkook tried to convince himself that it was just a boss being nice to his employees.
He got back on his phone to actually do something when he heard someone call his name, it was Baekhyung.
"Hey, I have been looking for you, what time did you arrive" Baekhyung asked.
