All day, clients have been coming and going from your shop, giving you little time for even a lunch break. Today, you have done five tattoos and four piercings. Being a tattoo artist and piercer is a dream come true for you. In high school, all you were doing in class was drawing on your skin with a Sharpie of designs you were going to get once you were old enough.

By eighteen, you were practicing on fake skin and becoming a better artist.

By college, you had a small list of clients andhad already done a lot of work on your own legs.

By thirty, you own your own shop and have become widely known for your tattoos. Actually, you have two shops, one on the East Coast and the other in Kansas. It's everything you could want and more, so you're happy spending hours at a time in your shop. The last client of the day is currently asleep on her stomach while you tattoo the back of her legs. This is the sixth time she's been in your shop, and it's the sixth time she's fallen asleep. Those kinds of clients are the best. You don't mind chatting with them, but you work best when you're in the zone.

When you finish the shading, you turn off the machine and admire your work. You wipe the area down and nudge her with your wrist.

"Alright, Kat, you're all done."

"Already?" she yawns awake. "I was in the middle of a really good dream."

"Well, you can go home and finish that dream. Check it out. How do you like it?"

Kat stands up and admires your work in the full-length mirror on the back of the door. "Holy shit, Y/N. This is so good!" The back of her thigh has a moon with flowers and dreamcatcher feathers combined. The back of her calf is a mandala flower with intricate detail. "Fuck, you're good."

"I'm glad you like it," you smile.

"Like it? I love it."

She pays you a generous tip on top of the cost of the piece and leaves with a smile. You love giving tattoos to people and seeing their world brighten because of it. Tattoos are more than a piece of art. It's a way for the person to feel more confident about themselves. It's a way to express their emotions. It's a way to overcome their trauma.

This is why you do what you do.

Since she is the last customer of the day, you spend the next hour cleaning your entire shop. After locking up, you drive twenty minutes to the Bunker, hoping that Sam and Dean are back from their hunt. Once you hired a bunch of artists for your shop on the East Coast, you wanted to take your business to the other side of the country. Luckily for you, your best friends lived in Kansas. It made sense to set up shop here, especially when the Bunker is like another home to you.

They gave you a key to the Bunker just in case you ever wanted to stop by or use it when they were gone.

Seeing the Impala parked outside puts a huge smile on your face because that means they're home. Dean and Sam haven't even been home for five minutes when they hear your excited footsteps. Dean turns just as you jump into his arms, and he holds you close to prevent you from falling.
