Warnings: hate being scared, all fluff

Summary: Halloween is your least favorite holiday, and your husband knows it. You hate being scared, and he takes almost every opportunity to scare you, whether you like it or not.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Out of every single holiday, Halloween has to be the worst. Scary movies, jump scares, haunted houses, overcrowded parties, and buying candy for other people's kids don't seem appealing to you. Sure, you decorate, dress up, and pass out candy only because your kids love the holiday so much.

You blame your husband. He's the one who riles them up every single year, and it gets worse the older they get.

The number one reason for your dislike of the holiday is being scared. You fucking hate it, and your husband fucking knows it. You've decked him in the nose once for scaring you, but that only made him want to do it more.

The Bunker is quiet as you do laundry. Sam is out with the kids, and Dean said he wanted to wash Baby and give her a tune-up. After putting the wet clothes into the dryer, you grab the clean clothes and start to walk back to your bedroom.

You round the corner and scream in terror when you see Dean leaning against the wall with a Ghostface mask on. He laughs and whips the mask off his face. You resist the urge to throw socks at his face.

"You're an asshole."

"I didn't even have to try," he laughs. "You're too easy."

"Stop doing that. You know I hate it."

"I know." He grins. "That's why I do it."

Dean follows you to your shared room and tosses the mask onto the desk chair. Dean only does this because he knows you truly don't hate it. Yes, you hate being scared, but if it truly bothered you, then he would never do it again. You begin to fold the clothes, and Dean puts them away when you're done.

"So, tonight is Halloween."

"Don't remind me. No tricks, Dean. I mean it. No scaring me."

"It's the most fun day of the year. Something you wouldn't understand because you're not programmed to feel joy." You glare at him, and he smirks. Dean blinks innocently, but you see the mischief in his eyes. "What kind of husband do you think I am?"

You roll your eyes and continue folding. "What time are we leaving?"

"About that, I have something else to do."

"What could be more important than taking our children out to go trick or treating?"

"Saving someone's life." You sigh and nod in understanding. "Sam and I have a hunt. This is the one day of the year monsters don't have to hide when they hunt."

"Yeah, I understand."

"Don't worry, I'll see the kids before they leave." Dean grabs your hands and pulls you into his arms. "Everything will be fine. I should be back tomorrow morning. Maybe tomorrow night. Sunday at the latest."

"Fine, but I'm not sharing my candy with you."

"That's okay, I'll steal it."

You pull away from him and smack him with a clean shirt. The hours tick by until it's time to get the kids ready for trick or treating. Your eldest daughter, six, is dressed as Tinkerbell, your second oldest, four, is a mermaid, and your youngest, five months, is a bumblebee.
