Summary: A year ago, your sister got married to a man who has raised red flags all over town. Eleven months ago, he whisked her away to Switzerland to start their new life together. Four months ago, she stopped all communication with you. Something happened to her, and it's up to you and Castiel to find out what.

Sam and Dean could have died tonight if it weren't for Castiel. The demons they were fighting were stronger than normal, so the three of them were put through the wringer. Now, they're back at home while you tend to their wounds.

You're not a hunter, you're a healer. You got your medical degree and decided to use it for hunters instead. Hospitals are too stressful for you to work in, but you love helping people. When a patient came in with a monster wound, you learned of the supernatural, and everything changed.

Five years later, you live in the Bunker with the guys, helping where you can and healing every wound you can.

Sam is already patched up, and you're almost done with Dean. He has a gash on his arm, so you're stitching it up carefully.

"Fuck! Can you be a bit more gentle?" Dean grits.

"You took on seven demons. Surely this isn't worse."

Despite your words, you work more carefully. Just because he was strong enough to walk away alive doesn't mean this doesn't hurt him. When you're done, you wipe the area clean with a towel before wrapping his arm in gauze.

"Don't get this wet for a week, okay?"

"Thanks," he whispers.

He takes a swig of his whiskey before walking off. All that's left is Castiel, the one you've been trying to avoid. It's not that you don't like him, it's that you like him too much. Your crush on him started the second you met him, and it's only developed since. Five years is a long time to pine for someone who might not want you back.

The only reason you haven't said anything, and it might be stupid, is that he's still new to human emotions. He's still learning what it means to have emotions and individuality. Even if you think he might like you back, you interpret it as him just being nice. You don't want to make a fool of yourself.

You'd rather be his friend than not have him at all, so you'll just suffer in silence.

Castiel is about to get up when you put a hand on his covered chest. "Stay. Let me look at your wounds."

You don't wait for him to respond and grab a wet cloth. His face is bloody with multiple gashes, and his clothes are torn in several places with blood pooling around the torn cloth. You take the wet cloth and start to clean his face of the blood so you can see his wounds better. Castiel watches you with a curious look. His blue eyes are so bright, it's hard not to look at them.

"I'm fine. It doesn't hurt," he says gruffly.

"Let me do this, please." You grab some supplies and start to clean his wounds. "I hate seeing you hurt."

"Very well."

Castiel stays silent as you work. His eyes burn holes in the side of your face, but you refuse to meet them. He has a gash on his forehead that needs stitches, so you grab the things you need and thread the needle through his skin. He doesn't so much as flinch from the prick of pain. His wounds heal faster than humans', but he likes you fussing over him.
