Summary: Dean is pushed into an arranged marriage he wants nothing to do with. While searching for answers on how to handle all of this, he gets caught in more than he can handle. He is suddenly married to a corpse, and what he comes to learn is that the dead isn't so different from the living.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dean can't go through with this. Not only is he not ready, but he doesn't want this. He doesn't love her. He doesn't even know her. He met her twice, and now he's getting married to her. Sam can see this isn't what his brother wants, but what can he say to their father? This is an arranged marriage.

"Are you ready?"

"No," Dean gruffs, "but what choice do I have?"

Sam sighs and helps Dean into his jacket. The wedding is next week, but today is the rehearsal. John doesn't care about the kind of wedding his sons have, but the bride's family needs everything to be in perfect order. The bride's family even wants this rehearsal, so Dean has no choice but to attend.

He hasn't even bothered to remember his bride's name; it's that bad.

"Come on," Sam says.

Both he and Dean walk into the church, where very few people are. John and the bride's family are there. This is only the rehearsal, after all. Everything has to be perfect. Sam takes a seat next to his dad, and Dean meets his bride at the altar.

"Now that we are all here. Let us get started," the minister says.

Dean tunes out the minister for most of it until it comes due for his vows. This is the part Dean is nervous about the most. He can't vow for something that he doesn't feel anything for. How can he promise to love and cherish this woman when he doesn't?

"Repeat after me," the minister says to Dean. "With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way in darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine."

It's not hard to say. He knows what to say, but he can't seem to get the words out. He just doesn't feel anything for this woman. He didn't see himself having such an elaborate wedding, but he did picture the woman he loves across from him.

"With this hand, I will..." Dean resists an eye roll. "I will lift your sorrow." He grabs the big cup harshly, causing a bit of liquid to spill out of the top. "Your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine."

He can feel his father and his brother's eyes on the back of his head. He can feel everyone's eyes on him, even his supposed bride's. He can't do this. This isn't right. No matter how much his father or her parents want this to happen.

"I can't do this shit. It isn't right." Collective groans come from the audience, and Dean turns to both families. "Why are we even doing this? We don't even love each other!"

"I will not tolerate this behavior!" the bride's mother says.

"I don't give a rat's ass what you think, lady."

Sam closes his eyes, knowing what is going to come. Everyone in the audience is in an uproar over his treatment of the bride's mother.

"Blaphstomy! I can't believe this is how you've raised your son, John!"

"This wedding cannot go on until you learn some manners, boy," the bride's father glowers.

"Who the fuck do you think you're calling 'boy'?"
