Lola's POV
She called me by my name, without cook in it. The last time I heard that... was Miss Kathryn, her mother. That was the last thing she said,"Lola, take care of my baby girl." I have tried, but with Lord Garte how he is, it makes it hard. He doesn't wish his princess to converse with the household help.
"Lola?" Kali's sweet voice brought me back to reality, "Are you ok?" "I'm fine sweetheart, you just remind me so much of your mother." Kali looked at me a minute before continuing. "So... I came to say goodbye, because I'm really truly going to run," her voice wavered off. "Hon, I said softly, "I made a promise to your mother, that I would take care of you. I feel like you are my last piece of her, Kali, I'm coming with you."
Kali's POV
She said she would come with me, she had promised my mom. Now I knew this was the right thing to do. I had to run, I had to leave this castle, and my father. I was almost dancing, I was so happy."Sweetheart, listen to me," Lola said in a motherly way,"Go pack a bag, and meet me in the flower garden at 9." Ok, I will." I said, then ran upstairs to pack a bag.
Lola's POV
Kali left, and I really hoped she put the right things in her bag. I got out my brown backpack, and started to pack. Money was needed, so I grabbed all twenty-nine of my diamonds. I opened my dresser drawer and pulled out three things, My compass, My shears, and sixty-four torches. Then, I slipped open the hidden compartment, and took out a stone sword, knowing we would need it. I ran down to the kitchen and grabbed two water bottles, twenty-two carrots, and ten loaves of bread. Then I quickly grabbed two sleeping bags from the closet. I closed the bag, I am ready for whatever lies ahead... it least I hope I am.
I hope you guys like the longer chapter!
